i highly doubt walt goes to new hampshire.  he is too arrogant to skip town.

he seemed pretty sure when the waitress asked how long of a drive it was though :dunno:

The last 4 minutes was the most intense scene of the series.

Rewatching the first half of season 5. Just finished the train heist episode. One thing I never figured out: is there some explanation for how the crew knew to bury the tanks directly below where the meth car would come to rest, or is that just a massive plot hole?

I mean, they installed the tanks before they knew where the meth car was located, right?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

The lady told them the layout of the train cars.

i assumed we were just supposed to take it on faith that lydia was such a logistics master that she knew what order the cars get loaded in... dunno if i'd call it a massive hole, but definitely a "blockbuster movie"-type stretch

I'm pretty sure all of this was discussed during that episode. She had the shipping manifests showing what car carried what contents.

yeah, it was.  she covered it in pretty good detail, exact times, etc.  i'm assuming ksu-w was confused about how they knew it wouldn't end up 100 yards on either side of the bridge of something, which doesn't seem like a big deal IMO :dunno:

No, I remember Lydia saying she would get the manifest sometime between midnight and 2am, giving the crew at least 6 hours in advance of the heist. That's not nearly enough time to measure the track and bury the tanks in the right spot. If you re-watch the episode, the crew does all the prep work, measures, buries the tanks, etc., then Walt has an evening conversation with Skyler, then Lydia gets the manifest at night, then it's daytime again and time for the heist. So at least a day passed and the crew definitely buried the tanks before they had the manifest and location of the car.

You guys remember how for the premiere future Mrs. SB made chicken with Chili P. and Ricin beans? Well SB bro also came over for it. Before meal was served, SB bro snuck into the kitchen and adorned SB's plate with the added (turkey) bacon. :D

Cheering for Walt, btw. Don't know why. I definitely hope he somehow pulls one over on the Gray Matter people. Remember them?

yeah, i agree the timeline is weird if it's meant to be continuous in that episode.  just don't really think it's important or a major plot hole or whatevs with all the other crazy stuff that goes on in the show

Did you guys watch Talking Bad later that night, live with the guy from Singled Out and Julie Bowen from Modern Fam? Was a bit weird.

And yes, KK is right: magnet thing was by far the most ludicrous.

Btw did anyone think it was weird that they were trying to make Flynn accompany them to a bowling outing? I mean, way to rub it in a breakfast-lover's face that he can't walk without crutches. :frown:

I kind of figured that they were going to make sure that the car stopped there at that particular spot with the tanks, and they were going to do that by positioning of Bill Burr's truck.  Where he was going to have car trouble was the adjustable parameter, not where they were going to bury the tanks. They figure out where the car is, then adjust where the truck was going to 'break down' accordingly.  They had enough hose to adjust for a certain margin of error.

Idk, that was my interpretation  :dunno:
