I like Hank the most, but I want Walt to "win" somehow.

Guys Low Winter Sun looks super boring but I turned it to CMT for a bit. Did I miss the first commercial break? All I care about is the BB preview?

This episode continued my biggest issue with Breaking Bad - I don't care about any of the characters. The story is enjoyable and that is why I watch it but if I cared about the characters it might have had me by the balls.

You can't judge a show based on the first 20 minutes. I think it has potential.

i dunno hemmy, part of what i love is that the characters aren't static.  i've gone through so many phases of hate/love with so many of them

Holy crap Badger's Star Trek 'script' was amazingly funny. I also can't get enough of Skinny Pete.

I really liked this as well. Skinny Pete was dead on about teleportation being bad news, too.

I thought the beginning of the episode was pretty interesting. Who do you think is getting the ricin? I'm betting it's Jesse.

Ok let's check in.  I am team hank.

Can't believe the confrontation came to a head so quickly. That's one prediction blown. When Walt pulls the tracker out of his pocket and Hank shuts the garage door, I said "Holy crap" out loud. Go Hank.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

Hank deserves to win, but it would be so much more interesting if Walt won cause you know he'd come up with some crazy plan to kill Hank/Skylar/Lydia/everyone else

Walter can't stop himself from wanting to come off like a badass.  The last quote was a perfect example of that.

I think the people from the Czech Republic is who Walt is about to fight in the flash forwards. They're fed up with the purity being so low and steal someone that Walt still cares about. (I'm pretty sure Gilligan said during the first 8 episodes that the Walt was getting that gun to protect someone he loves). No clue on the ricin.

Man, that garage scene. Once the garage door closed I was on my feet the whole time.

it's interesting to go back and watch the beginning of the first episode of season 5 (denny's scene).  first time through i just picked up on the obvious - new hampshire tags on the volvo (ha!), but had forgotten that his D/L was also NH and he was using skyler's maiden name.

what set of circumstances led him to (ostensibly) hide out in NH, and what flushed him back out?  seems like it could be any number of people/groups at this point... :users:

So it's a pretty well known theory that Walt takes on the traits of the people that he kills. He started cutting off his crusts after he killed Krazy 8, getting rocks in his whiskey after he killed Mike, and doing basically everything like Gus after he killed him (even throwing up like him in the last episode). So in that flash forward scene he puts his bacon on his eggs in the shape of the number 52 like Skyler does on his 50th and 51st birthday, and has taken her middle name.
