Christiano Ronaldo is awesome  he has dominated so far and i think has a great chance to lead them to an upset tourney win.

it's funny he has to face Barca/Spain in the semis if both teams advance.

The ronaldo chest control toe flip and fire would've been a contender for goal of the tournament.  The ibra volley was incredible, but that thing was probably better.

Watched parts of Italy vs England. The entire game should just consist of PKs

Goalies look so stupid in shoot-outs. It's like, how is diving in the complete opposite direction of the ball is going to stop it?

I liked when the guy did a fake out like he was going to really boot the ball but instead did a little tiny kick

As a member of the fraternal order of goalies, I must add my two cents.  Joe Hart was all over the place.  There are certain things you look for when deciding which way the players going to shoot.  You have to focus on almost everything leading up to ball strike. Its hard to really explain.  All I know is Joe Hart wasn't focusing hard enough.  Thats why he was fitted for a clown suit.  The moment was too big for him.

I probably would just guess they were going to do that little tiny kick fake out move every time because it would be the easiest to catch

In the book Scorecasting, it says that the best way to score on a penalty kick is to actually kick it straight down the middle, because the goalie almost always jumps to one side or the other.  Most players don't do it though because they don't want to look like idiots and not score because they kicked it straight at the keeper.  Not looking like an idiot is a surprisingly big motivator for athletes according to this book.

I remember that game sd and/or sys live-posted where USA tried to hit the goalie with all their regular kicks.
