Man, I wish something would go in the Fairway Houlihans location. That building has been empty for over 2 years now. Seems like a pretty decent location for something good. The Houlihans started going downhill towards the end, but I liked hitting the bar for apps/drinks at happy hour back in the day. Seems like something could work there, but I guess if Houlihans couldn't pull it off, maybe it isn't such a great spot.

yeah, I still think a sports bar type place with good food could make it there. Lots of people within walking distance and really the Peanut is the only sports bar close. Depends on the food/prices as with any place I guess. The landlord must really think highly of the location for it to be empty for 2 years.

Room 39 was a mess yesterday, they had a prix fixe thing going for mothers day. ended up being there 1hr45min and left without receiving the last course because baby 'blast needed a nap and it was clear they weren't going to get it figured out any time soon. hopefully just a one time fluke but they have officially been put on NOTICE.

had takeout a couple years ago. it was fine, but it doesn't strike me as a boozy late lunch kind of place.

Wings Cafe has some really great wings. Probably my favorite in the city. But their service is SLOW and it was expensive even before inflation stuff.

I'm really shocked they don't have a good beer menu. Beer and wings are a match made in heaven. I guess we'll end up at Grinders probably, because daddy's getting hungry.

it's not a place to drink, it's more of a place to pick up wings to go. also i don't think liquor licenses are as easy to obtain as you might think

Yeah, I'll probably get the philly. I wasn't necessarily stuck on wings today, just wanted to try something new. Their molten wings aren't bad. I like the sauce, but the chicken has a weird texture to it. I agree.
