We didn't have as much of that on our dishes as much as Jose Peppers does. We also didn't serve catfish eggs benny either.

It's pretty common at SE Asian restaurants. I've gotten it in like clay pots or stews.

Really? I've never heard of this.

I like catfish because of Kansas farm nostalgia but my family hates it because it tastes like dirty river and I'm like yeah that's what fish tastes like

Oh yeah, you probably eat basa all the time without knowing it. It doesn’t taste like KS catfish imo. And I think it’s pretty universally sold as either “fish” or just straight sold as something else at a lot of restaurants.
