The glory days.  We need an old school wildcat logo emoticon.  TIA.

I wouldn't say those were the "glory days"

So elite.

Mitch, I'm sorry for every mean thing I've ever said about you.

The stadium looked so horrible then. How did the program ever keep from becoming extinct?

My anecdotal story of the day, for that day is:

I actually went to the ku game that day with a buddy, afterwards we were at a party where some guys had the K-State game dialed up on the radio.   When K-State scored the game winning TD, a bunch of ku guys at the party were really pi$$ed.

That's my:  Cool Story Bro

Attendance is pretty good, considering we've not won in 31 games. Looks pretty similar to a KU game the last couple seasons.

Yeah, and our RB kept staying in to protect Straw's right side as #58 was blowing by our LT every play.    that Straw didn't grab the RB and put him on his left to protect himself.

The thing that is unfortunately missing from this video is what came right before it: NTSU (as they were known then, I believe) threw for a totally improbably long bomb touchdown with like a minute and a half left, then celebrated in the end zone with the most tentative, pathetic dogpile I think I've ever seen.

Attendance is pretty good, considering we've not won in 31 games. Looks pretty similar to a KU game the last couple seasons.

Attendance was boosted by the fact it was Band Day, and there were a lot of high school bands there to perform on the field for the half-time show....including me.  I was a freshman in high school and our band went up there on that fateful day which was the first KSU football game I had ever been to.  I remember our bus was parked in the east parking lot which was nothing but gravel and dirt at that time.  And after the game as we were in the bus ready to leave, that big hoard of students carrying the piece of the goalpost you see at the 5:30 mark came running by our bus whooping and hollering.  Good times.

Our QB looked ridiculous dropping back. Why did he back pedal like that?

Old KSU Kat games all have weird-ass drop-backs that make me LOLWTF.

I'm part of the crowd carrying the north goalpost down the field.   :comeatme:  #obz
