you guys can keep being enemies with your ex girlfriends to your own detriment all you want.  but keep that crap in your own personal lives.  when it comes to what's best for kstate I'd appreciate it if you would not be bitter dumbasses that hate the girl that dumped you for your entire lives.

So you're suggesting everyone should have once-a-year hook-ups with their ex-girlfriends?

More like an awkward run in at the mall when both of you try and be nice while still bragging about how much better off you are.

K-State: "Oh hey Mizzou. Is that shirt new? I like it."
Mizzou: "Oh... Hey, K-State. Umm yeah, the SEC bought it for me..."
K-State: "Oh yeah, I'd heard you found someone else. How is that?"
Mizzou: "It's good! Really good.  We went 7-5 in football, just trying to take it slow, ya know?"
K-State: "Oh yeah, totally.  We're just laying low, enjoying our new Fiesta Bowl trophy."
Mizzou: "Good for you! I'm happy for you, I really am. Welp, I better be going now, but it was SO good to see you."
K-State: "Yeah! Good to catch up! Bye!" (mutters under breath while walking away) "crazy bitch."
I enjoyed this.

you haven't posted crap. also I coined "it's like I'm posting to a wall" but I know you know that.

just want to point out you've coined half the stuff on this board(_FAN 25%)(Clams 24%) so you're just going to have to live with it.

It would help us in KC more than the current on campus series and annual sprint center game does, at least in the short term.  IMO.  And I'd still like to play in other areas we recruit.

so replace three games w/ one and we're better off? umm, no.

oh yeah, those teams are lining up to visit and play us.  I guess a home and home with MU would be easy to schedule though.

we won't get bigger and better teams at sprint.

aren't we going to play uf there?

yeah. That's one game out of 6 semi-home:semi-home series that is bigger than the annual MU game would be. (and that's debatable IMO).

We won't consistently get teams the caliber of UF to play us there.

Good point. No way we could get a program like Duke to play there.

We didn't.

we won't get bigger and better teams at sprint.

so let me get this straight...

you said... "we won't get bigger and better teams at sprint".

i said...what about florida? they have won two out of the last seven national championships.

you said...it's debatable that florida is "bigger and better" than mu.

fact...mu has never been to a final four in their history. florida has won two national championships in the last ten years.

please tell me that you have a rabit that i'm missing.

Yes, UF is a better program. I should have clarified that the two MU games would be better covered, more entertaining, and more valuable to KSU than our two games with Florida. I also don't think we will consistently get teams the caliber of UF to play us, as evidenced by the other 3 semi-home series we have scheduled.

Discussion. There are no right answers here, and good opinions (mostly) are being shared by both sides.

I think we can all agree that we do not want to play 1 and done games vs the likes of So Miss or IUPUI any longer at Sprint. 6-7K fans with games on FSN are not the goal of playing in KC.

I can handle the concept of sorta-home and sorta-home series with decent programs. UNLV and Alabama both drew more than 17500 fans. Both got decent TV; ESPN2 and ESPNU respectively. Both were return games neutral/home games.

I don't think it would be terrible to do something similar with Missouri. Now, I understand not wanting to play Missouri every year so we could open it up to play more games similar to UNLV/Bama (hopefully slightly better opponents), but I don't want to dismiss a possible game with Missouri. Maybe something every 2-3 years as a stand alone game would be better mixed in with a couple years of games vs other major conference schools as part of 2 game series.

Still #teamstevedave on this for the most part, but I can see the other side of things.

weber would set up a Friday Sprint Center game versus North Carolina, followed by a Saturday game versus Duke, followed by a Sunday game versus Kentucky but the reality is that they would be less covered and less valuable than a game versus MU.

not more valuable if frank was still our coach, but i know you already knew that.

as for better covered and more entertaining, i just have to laugh at that ridiculous butthurt comment. although i can understand your butthurt premise given that you live in missouri and kstate no longer plays missouri every year.  mods-please schedule a game with missouri in kc so butthurt rmc can be entertained and not be so butthurt about the fact that kstate no longer plays a team from the state that he lives in.

Remember when the #17 Cats had their bigtime match-up at that neutral site in Alabama and Cox 22 picked up the game?

well, at least we weren't giving alabama any satisfaction after leaving us for another conference like a STUPID SKANK!
