Also I'm pretty sure an mu game in KC will not replace all our ooc games. Could be wrong though.  who knows.

would our fanbase support two games at the Sprint Center on a regular basis?  I would not want to waste our best oppurtunity to play top programs out of conference on Mizzou every year.

I'm not against playing Missouri, but I think it's dumb to play in KC. I'd rather play a different team each year, get some exposure in places like Cali, Florida, Chicago, NYC, than to play the same team every year with the attention of a fanbase who already knows us.

We aren't getting exposure in those areas now so we don't lose anything.

"Hey michigancat, do you want $100?"

"No, I didn't have $100 before, so I'm not losing anything"

If we can't support mu plus another game we aren't playing top programs.

Does having $100 keep me from having $200?

Because I'm pretty sure that playing mu in KC doesn't prevent us from playing in any of those areas you mentioned.

We're only going to play a few good programs in the non-con schedule. Weber even talked about that. I'm sure has a number in his mind of good BCS teams he wants to play, and Missouri will take up one of those spots.

you guys can keep being enemies with your ex girlfriends to your own detriment all you want.  but keep that crap in your own personal lives.  when it comes to what's best for kstate I'd appreciate it if you would not be bitter dumbasses that hate the girl that dumped you for your entire lives.

i'm friends with every ex i've ever had. no reason not to be. what you're talking about isn't being friends with them, you're talking about driving over to their house at noon on a sunday so that you can drive them to the airport for an upcoming business trip. get a rough ridin' grip man. would i do it once because we're friends? sure. would i do it every sunday?

kstate has played in kc every year for the last five years or something. nobody has stopped you from going to pnl or paking and partying and hanging out w/ your bros. have you? no, and you aren't going to for this dumbass game if it goes through either just because it's a team that kstate has played previously for several years.

nebraska has been gone for a year now. do i want to pay them in bball every year? do i want to just because there is a history? no. why the eff would i? field a good bball team and schedule an interesting game in kc every year and kstate fans will show. lock into some stupid deal w/ a predetermined team based on the fact that you have a history with them? stupid.

Be careful not to disagree with team butthurt, it will hurt your buttutation.

we won't get bigger and better teams at sprint. I mean it's a lovely thought but it's like saying you'd rather oscar win the national title in year 2 instead of just going to the championship game.

yeah. That's one game out of 6 semi-home:semi-home series that is bigger than the annual MU game would be. (and that's debatable IMO).

We won't consistently get teams the caliber of UF to play us there.

so let me get this straight...

you said... "we won't get bigger and better teams at sprint".

i said...what about florida? they have won two out of the last seven national championships.

you said...it's debatable that florida is "bigger and better" than mu.

fact...mu has never been to a final four in their history. florida has won two national championships in the last seven years. florida, duke and connecticut are tied for most national championships in the new millenium.

please tell me that you have a rabbit that i'm missing.

Yes, UF is a better program. I should have clarified that the two MU games would be better covered, more entertaining, and more valuable to KSU than our two games with Florida. I also don't think we will consistently get teams the caliber of UF to play us, as evidenced by the other 3 semi-home series we have scheduled.

1) yes uf is better. much, much better. not debatable.

2) the "better covered, more entertaining, and more valuable" is all total bullshit dumbass stuff, just on different levels and i know you have to know that.

kstate sucked, sucked, sucked for ten years. spring center was not there. kstate got decent, sprint center was built, kstate had a head coach that recruited florida... kstate all of the sudden plays rough ridin' florida (a top 5 team in the 2000's) in sprint. jesus how did that happen? well, i'll assume that this was a good opportunity for frank to keep recruiting in florida and in a big way.

kstate has never been able to recruit missouri in bball. (gavin, lol?). didn't exactly get dixon or denmon even though we played mu twice a year during that time.

bottom line for me is...why not hire a coach and then schedule teams that will be fun that year or the next year and are from areas that the new coach recruits from, instead of dumbass mu ever year?

Do you see a value to being on national TV? Just wondering.

well yeah. Obviously I wouldn't give a crap if we had hired a coach worth a damn but I have to entertain myself over the next few years somehow. I'm sure oscar will be able to schedule Michigan State and UConn and UCLA in the Sprint Center over the next 3 years so I will plan on having lots of fun.

why in gods name would oscar schedule any of those teams? did you ever read what i wrote? ucla? wtf? you're phoning it in and i'm pretty sure you have a ghost writer. winters?

frank recruited the crap out of florida and scheduled a series w/ uf. rough ridin' amazing job by him really. unless webs somehow starts recruiting missouri over mu though, which kstate has never done (gavin lol) then why in the world do we care about playing mu in kc? i'm open to an explanation. we currently play them twice a year and still don't get the players.

It would help us in KC more than the current on campus series and annual sprint center game does, at least in the short term.  IMO.  And I'd still like to play in other areas we recruit.
