I think we can all agree that we do not want to play 1 and done games vs the likes of So Miss or IUPUI any longer at Sprint. 6-7K fans with games on FSN are not the goal of playing in KC.
I can handle the concept of sorta-home and sorta-home series with decent programs. UNLV and Alabama both drew more than 17500 fans. Both got decent TV; ESPN2 and ESPNU respectively. Both were return games neutral/home games.
I don't think it would be terrible to do something similar with Missouri. Now, I understand not wanting to play Missouri every year so we could open it up to play more games similar to UNLV/Bama (hopefully slightly better opponents), but I don't want to dismiss a possible game with Missouri. Maybe something every 2-3 years as a stand alone game would be better mixed in with a couple years of games vs other major conference schools as part of 2 game series.
Still #teamstevedave on this for the most part, but I can see the other side of things.
