Go live on that crap hole that is Ft. Riley then.
Another thing wrong with Manhattan...the average citizen has very little respect for those in the Military. Just search "Fort Riley" on here and see what comes up. What a bunch of ingrates. Go live on that crap hole that is Canada then...
I worked on Ft. Riley, and in fact played a part in building quite a bit of new housing on post. I know what shitty construction/planning/building on old medical dumps/finding syringes in the dirt while hanging siding (ie. right across from the middle school). I also lived there from 90-96. Fort Riley is a crap hole.
Don't try and turn it into a military army disrespect thing. I also worked on Air Force bases, and there was a stark difference in quality of surroundings, buildings, etc.
So you knowingly took part in something that disgusts you, what a man of integrity...and it is a military army disrespect thing. Look at how Soldiers are treated by locals in Aggieville, look at what comes up when you search this forum. Absolutely sickening. You people ought to be ashamed. Anyhow I'm going to bed. Just to recap I've established several things tonight.
1. Kansas sucks.
2. Kansas State University sucks.
3. Kansas State Football has traditionally sucked.
4. Kansas State Basketball will now suck.
5. Manhattan sucks.
6. Kansans suck.
Good night.
I made a rough ridin' living? Working? I don't see your point at all. It is NOT a military disrespect thing. Just because you're in the military doesn't mean you can pull that get out of jail free card whenever you want to try and intimidate people into backing down. You and I both have jobs, the place where you work is a shitty place to live. I live in Topeka currently, my base sucks too.
I'm sorry the Army likes to build substandard housing in substandard places
Anyone remember about 3-4 years ago when a group of 8-10 army troops went angry mob and gave an innocent kid brain damage. In my opinion you need to keep those ground pounders out of the central manhattan district. I mean sure you can buy a new used car or a pay as you go cell phone in town..hell... shop in our mall, we, as a community appreciate what you do. But, at all costs. We must push to ban them from anywhere closer in the periphery(the chef, pita pit, all aggieville bars, etc) I mean, would their business truly be missed? My guess, not at all...probably could cut security and bathroom clean up hours as well as insurance issues like assaults and damages within the building
