Nope.

Quote
Fans had already expressed their frustration with Horn by not showing up. Average paid attendance this season was 8,900 people in the 18,000-seat Colonial Life Arena. It was down about 1,500 fans with most games seeing less than half of the announced number actually in the stands.

pathetic

One of the worst parts of all is that, while I've never been to Columbia, I can almost guarantee it's the same city as Baton Rouge. Just exactly the same....except without LSU football to brag about. And trust me friends, Baton Rouge=Topeka Without All The Excitement.

having lived in Charleston for several years, I can say this, the people there are nice as long as you aren't black..hell didn't they just remove the Confederate flag from the state house in Columbia not to long ago???

I don't think so. As far as I know, it's still flying. They don't still fly it higher than the US flag, though, iirc.

No...it no longer flies above the Statehouse, and to my knowledge it never flew above the American Flag.

Can't wait to see the fans faces when Frank trots out his brown children.  if you've ever been to sc, you'd understand that they use the "n" word as a way to identify a black person.   for instance:  "which person are you talking about?"  answer"  "the n....r"  he has no rough ridin' idea what he has done to eff himself.  eff you frank.

Confederate flag above the state house confirmed today by me and about 20 other dentists that were giving a presentation about the awful tooth rot in South Carolina.

People also call Baton Rouge "The City That Never Wakes."  Guarantee Columbia is the same city.  Same exact rough ridin' city.  Same ~750,000 sprawling metro population with tons of traffic yet not all that much cool stuff to do...same terrible schools...same blatant segregation (brought about by White Flight)...same boring capital city downtown full of uninspired, cement, square-looking government buildings from the 1960s that shut down at 5 pm...same terrible nightlife that you think would be great because "hey, it's an SEC town!" but really it's just complete crap...

And we just got jilted for it. Because our AD is a dumbfuck.

Frank, they probably don't even have anything comparable to The Chef.  I know these towns.

Steve Spurrier was still bitching about the flag as recently as 2007, so if you took it down, it was less than 5 years ago.

The silver lining in all of this is that maybe now I can finally upgrade my seats!  I've been stuck near the rafters ever since I bought season tickets in 2006.  Really pisses me off I didn't buy tickets in the last year or two of Wooly and get in the front 5 rows.    :bang:

The flag still flies as part of a Civil War memorial on the Statehouse grounds, just not above it as many of you said.
