Is there a K-State forum out there that isn't reminiscent Shaggybevo? I'm not real impressed with the welcome I've got here.

So far I've had a person threaten to kick me in my taint and then kill my family (I think that was the order they wanted to do it) and another called me a homophobic racist...very hospitable K-State.  :blank:

I apologize for these bad people.  Welcome.  Now GTFO.

Your homophobia and racism should be the least of your concerns if you are actually stupid enough to expect hospitality on a K-State message board after our coach bolted because the dick measuring contest between our AD and him ended up awash.

Are you over here to discuss the hire because nobody at your school gives two shits about basketball?

Still can't believe Frank is going to coach the South Carolina Pirates.  Love their midfield football logo and all, but to be honest, never knew they had a basketball program.   :dunno:

I didn't join to rub anything in. Please show me where I've gloated.

I PCS'd to Riley back in August and moved in not far from the football stadium so, being able to hear games from my front lawn, I've naturally kept up with K-State and I enjoy rooting for you guys. USC hiring Martin just made me join today.

Anyhow keep it coming, I can take a little ribbing.
So you're local now?  How long and who are you with @ Filey?

I think I might be done with this school.  Hate to be overly dramatic but there it is.  I don't even know if oscar could bring a flicker of hope back to me.  Would a sweet 16 run next year change things?  Maybe, probably.  All I know is that I'm tired.  Very, very tired...  Nothing really makes sense to me.  Tired.

This is how I feel right now too. I never even really liked bball much before Frank and Huggs. I can't believe this happened.

I'm trying hard to fight this feeling too

In this case they are the realist, those of us working our jobs don't have the external pressures and scrutiny that can exacerbate personality conflicts.

We also aren't making millions, and running away from a shitty boss will not have the potential to cost us several more millions, as it could with Frank.

Him running away from a shitty boss that has the potential to cost him several more million dollars tells me something much different than it tells you.

obviously

One of the worst parts of all is that, while I've never been to Columbia, I can almost guarantee it's the same city as Baton Rouge. Just exactly the same....except without LSU football to brag about. And trust me friends, Baton Rouge=Topeka Without All The Excitement.

Fans had already expressed their frustration with Horn by not showing up. Average paid attendance this season was 8,900 people in the 18,000-seat Colonial Life Arena. It was down about 1,500 fans with most games seeing less than half of the announced number actually in the stands.

I would imagine this will play out about like this week's episode of The Good Wife.

Recap: Alicia (Frank) must once again face off against Louis Canning in court, but her recent financial situations cause her to think about his (Michael J. Fox aka South Carolina's) tempting job offer and leaving the firm.

Alicia's boss (BelvisNoland....or John Currie) reprimands her for requesting a raise when the firm gave her the chance to practice law in the first place.

Contentious partners' meeting concludes when potentially anorexic boss (Schulz) announces that Alicia (Frank) will get the raise no matter what everyone else wants.

Louis Canning (SoCarolina) tells Alicia (Frank) he feels used since his offer allowed Alicia (Frank) to leverage a better deal from her current firm (KSUCats).

I call it: The Good Coach

looks like I imagined this all wrong
I want to wake up in a city that never sleeps, etc.

I don't think so. As far as I know, it's still flying. They don't still fly it higher than the US flag, though, iirc.

pathetic

Guy from USC on 810 said today "In these last four or five games, Ray Charles could've done a headcount on the people in the crowd. It was terrible."

I can't believe our fuckface AD just let a guy leave for a school that just won fewer games in basketball than they did in football.
