The good news on top of Upshaw not signing his LOI, is that according to Upshaw's mom Frank told them not to

Master threads make it very hard to keep up.

Just making sure that it has been established that Fedor completely made this up

Rob said this on GPC and twitter, fwiw. I didn't believe it for a while, still not sure if I do. Just letting you know it's not Fedor.

the Frank told them not to part seems made up. not the fact he didnt sign.

Don't believe the "frank told him not too" part was included.

It's unclear whether or not it was Frank's idea or Upshaw's idea not to sign. Trying to clarify that.

he never clarified, that i saw.

Have learned that the Kansas Board of Regents has met and is now involved in Martin/Currie situation

This just doesnt end.

If that's true seems pretty weird that the regents would get involved in a coaching change.

But there's two things that I am consistent with in every decision I make and every step I take, and that's honesty and loyalty. [My father's] lack of loyalty to our family, his lack of honesty toward our family, I saw the pain that brought my mom, my sister, and those are the kinds of things that I kind of saw and said, 'You know, as a man growing up, I need to make sure that these traits are what I'm about. I never saw them in the person that was my father."

LOL at BITB.  "We're dealing with a couple of 2-year olds here."

also my take

Mine as well.

2 year olds? So if you work for a boss you don't like and have another opportunity elsewhere with more money you don't go? just bc he works in sports doesn't mean he can't have the same opportunities as workers in other professions.

I think it has more to do with the clear undertones/ overtones of spite and petty jealousy between them.  Seriously, does any of this seem at all professional at any level?

Seems human and not at all uncommon for people with real jobs.  Pretty sure that most people that quit or are fired from jobs are because of personality conflicts on one level or another.

In this case they are the realist, those of us working our jobs don't have the external pressures and scrutiny that can exacerbate personality conflicts.

Get real! I love Jake, but there is no proof he could coach a Jr High team. And so much involved - contracts, managing people, etc. Most good/great players stink as coaches.

We also aren't making millions, and running away from a shitty boss will not have the potential to cost us several more millions, as it could with Frank.

wtf

W.T.F. Do these morons realize it is just our COACH that is going to the SEC this time, not our entire AD? Unless this is Frank demanding mediation of some point in order to try to stay in MHK, this seems highly useless, and that scenarion seems unlikely even for this goat eff of a situation
