Heard this morning that D. Sams had asked to be moved to WR & the coaches told him No.  They want him to be a QB.  You could read a couple of things between the lines, but still interesting

I appreciate everything about this story. I appreciate that Sams realizes that he is the best WR on this team and he's willing to switch because it would help the team win even though his dream is to be the QB for the Kansas State Wildcats. I also appreciate that Bill realizes that Sams is the future of this program and that it is important for him to stay at QB and get some reps this season even though he would set the Big 12's world on fire at WR.

guys, i didn't buy this year's ncaa football, but using last year's version i made sams a wr and he lead the team in catches and yards.

i'm not sayin', guys, but i'm just sayin'.

The kid was asked to play WR (allegedly) last spring and was looking at transferring.  Bill promises to keep him at QB.  Now's he's asking to be a WR and Bill won't oblige?  This isn't on Sams...the coaching staff needs to figure out how to 1) communicate more effectively with it's players, 2) keep stud players happy, 3) keep these rumors between the walls in Bill's office full of Pinocchio paraphernalia.  Although I am concerned about Sams' perceived wishy-washyness, his motivations could be pure, and he deserves the benefit of the doubt at this point.

It looks like heralded freshman Daniel Sams will be seeing his first meaningful action as he enters the game with 8 minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter, cats up by 3 against Miami.

Kansas State lines up in a shotgun set, harper and thompson on the far side of the field....and it, yes it does look like Sams is in the backfield with Klein? Klein appears to be lined up in the running back spot.

Here's the snap and Sams runs the read option with klein, he pulls it back, surveys the field. He's got some pressure on him, rolling to the right now.

Sams find Klein streaking down the left sideline! The throw is up and it looks on target!! KLEIN CATCHES IT AT THE 20, STEAMROLLS A MIAMI PLAYER AND HE WILL COAST INTO THE ENDZONE.

WOW, talk about a 2 headed monster Kansas State in the backfield now! Sams and Klein, you cut the head off one and the other BITES YOU!

Idk, he might want to get on the field ASAP.  Which is reasonable and makes sense from his perspective, but probably isn't in his or the team's best interest.
