Like, what on earth do you think would be an issue?
Dining every night. For the history of time.

Fanning just finished this conversation and he couldn't be more correct.

Every Vegetarian I've ever met had breath problems... is it just because my nose isn't used to their weird diet, or is there something that they are/are not eating that is funking up their breath.

I grew up with steak on the table like 4- 5 days a week. My dad was a cattle buyer. My case might be extreme, but I love to grill and make dinner for my significant other. That's how I show my appreciation. I guess I'd be lost on how I could cook for my vegetarian girlfriend. Plus, taking her home to my dad who made a career out of it, would be challenging.

I could see alot of benefits. Like when it's BLT nite and you cook up the whole package of bacon your lady isnt all like "I want 3 strips" cause shes a veg, then you get to put the whole lb on your badass blt

also more portobello in your life, which is a great thing imo

It's quite easy, actually. :D

In all seriousness, I think everyone who thinks they would have serious problems dating a vegetarian (before they get to know them) is a very selfish and childish individual who probably isn't ready to date anyone seriously.

I mean yeah I was making a joke of your worries, but the fact that you can't imagine how to cook a vegetarian meal for someone you care about speaks volumes about how self-centered you are.

I don't think I could date a preachy vegetarian. If she had a problem with my food consumption or whatever and was always nagging it wouldn't work. If it was a personal choice, that's fine, whatever.

I'm married and don't date so this is just like hypothetical or whatev

Story: When I went to Colorado to visit J-Dub, we went on a hike, and after we went back to our cabin we had rented for a round of delicious Black Cherry Frescas. J-Dub's ex GF picked up the can and started reading the ingredients before she opened it. I don't like stuff like that. Just say "No Thank You I'll have a water" and don't make it a big thing.

As long as you don't live in the panhandle of Texas or something, dating a vegetarian is pretty easy from personal experience.  If you wanna go get some bbq or whatever, do it on a day when she wants to do her own thing that you're not into. When you go out to dinner with her, just check the menu beforehand and make sure there are a few vegetarian dishes she can choose from. Not that hard to do these days.

Sounds like you have a problem with preachy people, which is reasonable. I couldn't date a preachy beef farmer who gave me crap every time I ordered a pork chop, either.

Congrats to j-dub for getting out of that awful situation. <no-sarcasm>

I mean, if you took it that seriously, that just shows how easily you overread comments and how far you take them. I mean, a mate is usually combatible. With common similarities. I've dated several girls that have had opposite values, religion, political views, etc. It was a simple evaluation.

If a vegetarian girl knew how to cook lots of Indian or Greek food and stuff like that, it could be a pretty cool situation
