I'm a level 12 now. It's legit fun, especially with a couple other people. Getting loot is awesome. Controls really well. Coop/story is really fun. Crucible MP is so so. I think it will be better once I level up. The strike missions (devil's lair on earth, summoning pits on moon) are insanely fun. Difficult and crazy enemies.

Some down sides- Story could be better. It's pretty formulaic. it would be nice if you could at least have proximity chat in the tower. There's lots of people, but interactions are limited. Finally, crucible needs bigger maps. Shotguns are overpowered.

The boxes are usually glimmer and crap like that. probably 1/4 of the time it's gear. You can also drop loot when killing bad guys. I've noticed this occurring more frequently the higher level you are. Also when you play story mode, you can redeem stuff for high end loot.

Guys, all my kids friends are total assholes and I need some dudes I can fireteam it up on Destiny (XB1).  I'm stuck at a level 11 just soloing the crap out of things and it's taking way too long.

I played quite a bit of it this weekend. It doesn't like my 1680x1050 monitor resolution at full screen :(

other than that, pretty similar to Civ 5. I like the new covert ops stuff, as well as the different Affinities and how you can mix/match.

Lost my first game and have no idea why - the "Just one more turn" button was greyed out.

other than that, pretty similar to Civ 5. I like the new covert ops stuff, as well as the different Affinities and how you can mix/match.

I was going to buy but the only PC I have is a cheap laptop that is about 4 years old.  Then I read and it made it seem like it wasn't all that much better than 5.  Also, that they killed the end game stats which I always loved and a review mentioned the losing and not knowing why.  I might just expansion up my PC and hope they make some minor improvements prior to Mac release.

Any strong opinions on the non-linear tech tree?

I like it. It makes stealing technology much easier. Not nearly as linear.
