It's an rpg-type shooter.  It can be MMO, but you don't have to.  You should probably buy it if you liked Fallout 3/New Vegas or Skyrim.  When I don't have to deal with babies all the time so much at home I'm going to buy it.

PS4 have some solid titles coming out.  I have an XB1, but wish I would have got a PS4.  All my friends from Auburn University/K-State all have an XB1 so I was screwed in the sense that I game with them and it is the best way we all keep in touch.  If you aren't tied down like I am, I'd go for a PS4.

Hmm... I already have Netflix / Hulu / MLB At Bat on my 360 and they run fine. Any reason to run then on the newer gen consoles over what I have? That is really all I would plan on media wise I think

Advantage is you can quickly switch between them, and also watch TV through the XB1. The 360 is fairly slow when it comes to running apps. I wouldn't buy it JUST for that, but the experience is significantly better.

I like the direction MS is going with their updates to the xb1's functionality but from a straight gaming perspective I'd wait until developers quit designing their games with the previous gen in mind

yeah if you don't want your eyes to bleed from watching all that horrible 720p content when you could be watching glorious 1080p on a system which will be future proof to 4k content.   

But for serial, the XB1 is going to have some advantages.  It just depends on where your interests lie.  If you're a serious videophile and really want that extra dimension to content these next gen consoles will do that.  If you're like me?  Plenty of life left in the 360.

I played Destiny for about an hour last night.  Pretty fun, very Halo esque.   Haven't really gotten the handle on all the extra stuff you can do to improve your guy, just ran around and shot stuff.
