Tell me about wii u. Also Skylanders (trap team). Getting Nicname Jr. one of these things for Christmas. It comes with Mario Kart 8, so that could be fun.

I haven't played video games in years.

The last game I played with any regularity was GTA San Andreas.

I like it for the most part. Mario Kart 8 is a great game. I think 2015 is going to bring a lot more games to system, in particular games aimed at older audiences.

Cool. I'm looking forward to at least kind of getting back into video games. I know Nintendo is pretty much anti-third party, but they seem to make the best/ most unique first-party games. Looking forwards to playing the Zeldas, Donkey Kongs, and Mario World type games as they come out.

Your kid will like Skylanders. Get the Trap Team portal, but you can use older Skylander characters as well (Giants and Swap force). Pete Jr is balls out nuts for it for quite a while after he gets a new character, then kinda loses interest. So, it's nice to be able to pick up a new character every once in a while instead of buying whole new games.

I went a different route this year and got lil hF #4 the ipad version of Trap Team. He has to fight with 3 other bros to get his time on either the 360 or the XB1. Maybe this will help out.

Both Xbox live and Playstation network got hacked and have been down all day. The "Lizard Squad" hacked them, apparently.

This is very, very frustrating.

Civ: Beyond Earth was disappointing. I'll probably give it another go but I would just as soon play Civ 5 at this point.

COD Advanced warfare sucks too. I'll play Destiny I guess.

Guys, Wii U is great. Nicname Jr. and I have been partyrocking Skylanders Trap Team with great success. He already had a lot of Swap Force characters, because he has a Wii with Swap Force at his grandma's house. Great thing is, there isn't a disc to buy for the Wii U version, so we got the Wii Trap Team game and he just took the disc to grandma's and we downloaded the HD Wii U version for our place.

He's already got a ton of Swap Force characters and picked up a few of the Trap team guys for Christmas as well. Whoever came up with this game is a marketing genius. A lot of money can be spent on traps and characters.

Mario Kart 8 is great fun as any MK game ever has been. I'm sure I'll blow tons of money downloading old NES and SNES games.

I played the new Smash Bros game over Christmas and it was really good, too.

Played my PS4 for the first time Sunday, Shadow of Mordor. It's pretty fun. It's very similar to the Batman games except you cut and stab the eff out of the bad guys instead of just punching and kicking them. I miss the grapple gunning and flying though.

The graphics don't seem too much better than PS3. Also if you change the main guys' skin it doesn't change in the cutscenes. :longfart:

Finished the main story arc in GTA 5 on PS4. It was pretty neat I guess.

works pretty well for basketball watching because half the time you're just walking around at 1983 speeds
