Good for us! Charlie's off to a rough start with the media. Setting parameters for an interview four days after you're hired is bad form.

meh...KK gets so butthurt when people won't talk to him on his terms.  I don't blame Weiss.  He needs to give the impression that he's focused on the KU job.  Talking about the Cheifs would be a worthless distraction.

Grunny is how we say, very Trim esk. He feels superior to anyone that surrounds him. He told Entercom to eff off because he'd be running the company before he died. He was butthurt that they pulled him off the air cause he sucks. When trying to grab an interview with him as a HS coach, he was very arrogant and short. Always acted like his time was too important for anyone else. He's got small man syndrome in a linemans body. He'll fit perfectly with KU!

- Going to be there 5 yrs. He and wife discussed taking a job to get them to retirement in 5 yrs. Spoke a lot about wanting a sat tv, couch and a "clicker" so he could complain about everyone elses decisions in games. Very ready to retire
- asked how long it takes to rebuild a team. Answered with "a full recruiting cycle". The man believes that KU is on a 4yr build, but only plans to be there no more than 5yrs. However, he keeps saying build it up to a winner than let them get a prominent coach to replace him. Time lines seem to not jive here.
- team is 2-10, if you can't play here, you can't play(his recruiting pitch)
- asked when they will win B12 ship. Responded with "how about we win a conf game first"

Couldn't have listened to the interview and came away with anything other than Weis using this as his retirement paycheck.  That seems to be his motivation.

Also, was asked if he breferred Jay or BabyJay. Didn't know what the eff the hosts were talking about. Had to be bailed out on question. Lol

So did Zulu even interview this guy and ask what is long term plans were, or did he just call and offer the job? What a joke.

Grunny on with Petro compared the situation at ku to the sitation at Notre Dame when he arrived.  Also said his family is excited.  "My kids are ku fans, they are excited about game day, they are excited to get better basketball tickets."

Where does better basketball tickets rank on the "reasons to take a job" scale?
