Can somebody dig up what Beems said about Turner's staff?  I have a feeling about this, but I'm too lazy to confirm.  tia.

Yeah and we had a 5-star RB. Besides Webb isn't that bad of a QB, I wouldn't say he is much worse than Crist.

Webb is the worst QB we've had since Adam Barmann.

I don't think you realize what kind of coaches Weis is going to bring to KU.  We've already got Florida's o-line coach on the way.

I compare the hiring of Charlie Weis to that of Jim Wooldridge.  Very similar coaches in all aspects.

Bringing up Weis's recruiting ranks at Notre Dame is worthless when saying that Weis is a good recruiter.  Yes, he brought in some good recruits, but bringing good recruits to Notre Dame is easier than bringing recruits to KU, by quite a bit.  Notre Dame always brings in those recruits, and then does nothing with them.  Weis's success at Notre Dame was all with Ty Willingham's recruits.  

I just don't see Weis pulling top 10 recruiting classes to KU.

While that's certainly true, remember that Notre Dame has higher admission standards than most schools and doesn't recruit Juco's.  He will be able to open doors that KU hasn't been able to access in the past.  The QB position will be upgraded automatically.

Zenger really deserves legit credit for this hire.  He didn't just hire Charlie Weis.  He spoke with a lot of people about Charlie Weis.  Simply put, ND is just not an accurate way to judge a coach. There's no off weeks on that schedule. Aside from the USCs and Michigans, you're everybody's Super Bowl every week. Besides, HFBIQ noter damers know his problems the last two years were a direct result of Willingham's terrible recruiting his last few years.
