New list:1. Weis2. Mystery candidate3. Malzahn4. Chryst
I'm pulling for Malzahn.
With Malzahn you still have a certain amount of uncertainty. He may well be some freakin genius and coach KU to impressive feats. He may also just be a former HScoach with a gimicky offense that works well when you have a Cam Newton at the helm who will not find much success at KU. Seems like Weis would be a solid hire but I don't see him having huge upside and he's likely to leave the second a better job comes along.
in the end, EMAW will always win.

I'm confident you have your spin engine fired up and ready to prop up whatever dud hire will inevitably take over. It's funny that your monumental snub with Leach wasn't enough to prove to you how much of an afterthought KU's football program is perceived by the best in the business. You know, the guys with the rolodex and the penchant for cheating. That's what it will take to get KU to a bowl. First things first though, winning a conference game.
Malzahn would be an insanely good hire, imo. I would think he would hold out for a better gig though. I am working under the assumption that Chizik is a dumbass though and that Malzahn and Cam won them that title in spite of him.

Dood, you disappear/delete your account more than everyone else on this board combined. Glass houses Ben, glass houses.
I can't think Malzahn could be too long term either if he has great success. I would imagine he sees SEC as the top competition and eventually heads back there.
It looks like it's Weis.
Leavitt as DC?

Academics is a stupid word.Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not. So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.
