According to @jayhawktalk:

"Recently heard interesting info from big donor buddies. First, Gill is all but gone. Would have to have a miracle finish to have any chance. Every major donor ready for a change, and that's huge.

This particular donor said "I called Zenger. All my friends called Zenger. Everyone is on the same page here. He knows where we stand."

Word is that the money is there but only on the condition that Zenger "doesn't **** this one up."

One said Leach has not only been contacted but that there's mutual interest. UCLA only potential suitor, and that ship hasn't sailed yet.

I literally replied with "there's no chance Leach comes here," to which he replied, "You want to bet?" There's definitely smoke.

Again, both of them said they fully expect Gill to be gone. Also said they both really like Zenger and don't envy his sucky position

Another fun fact: said further changes in coach likely to include baseball, women's basketball, and volleyball. Maybe within next year."

It's probable that Gill will have gone 1-16 in big 12 play. And more notably, 0-4 against KSU and MU. And no big time upsets like a win over UT or OU. He's done.
i dont care how much money youd owe him, thats unacceptable, and there needs to be a change if im a 'hawk fan.
that being said, i dont see how a athletic department 60 mill in debt, is going to afford to pay a huge buyout, and a new big contract for a rated r superstar such as leach.

I don't think you understand how debt works. K-State just took out over 20 million in bonds for your new basketball facility.
