Going to NYC for spring break.  Made the mistake of letting my 15 y/o daughter pick which show to go see.  I may have to go to two shows so I can see Lion King.

I don't understand this post but you should have lots of fun. I want to take my parents to American Utopia in a couple of weeks
My daughter wants to see Dear Evan Grant which is super depressing.  I assumed she’d pick Lion King.

yeah, NJ is the only state iirc. really weird deal. also when I was a kid one of the 3 gas stations i meade had full service and some HS kid would walk out and fill you up. we had a charge there so you didn't even have to roll down the dang window. just pull up and pull out. wild times. also I was not allowed to charge gas there once I got my own car. fascism is a terrible thing.

yeah, I think it was Oregon where they were considering changing the law a while back and the Twitters were a real hoot during that time. People were freaking out basically saying they were going to blow themselves up and catch the world on fire if they had to pump their own gas. Some made it sound like the guy pumping gas was basically a trained engineer and they couldn't possible do it themselves. It was really fun. I just kept wondering if any of those people mowed their own grass and stuff. Like, how did they get gas to their lawnmowers if they were so afraid of torching themselves?

I like cats and dogs but I don’t want to be near them ever in my life. They are gross. I’m fine just seeing pictures and videos of them.

Man, we had a busy few days. MoMA, Sept 11 Museum, Central Park, Summit observation deck, Jersey City, walked the Higjh Line, saw Dear Evan Marshall, ate a great French restaurant in SoHo, saw Hamilton’s grave at Trinity Church and Times Square. spent most of Saturday at LaGuardia before our flight was cancelled.

Only twice? It was definitely an emotional experience. I always recommend it to anyone visiting NYC.

I went after a bottomless brunch.  Not a great idea timing wise.  I go to the memorial building waterfalls evertime I'm there.
