Any tweet that bemoans the powerful cyclist lobby is like crack to me

I read that tweet like 5 times and I still am not sure I understand what they are trying to say.

Random observations:

Instead of saying they "stand in line", people say "stand on line"

Kids love the crap out of Arizona Iced Tea. It's seriously like a cultural thing

At least half of handymen/construction guys working on Brooklyn brownstones are South Asians (supply chain chat reminded me of it). The biggest restoration company is definitely run by South Asians

Ooh, good one with the "on line". When I first started traveling to and with NYers, I noticed this right off the bat. Its one of those things I notice every time I hear it, but not really that annoying and sort of made sense.

When you say south Asian is that referring to people from the Indian Subcontinent or southeast Asia (Vietnam etc)

I think South Asian is subcontinent and Sri Lankan.

That's funny, to stay is also kind of the southern way of saying it

here are the celebrities I have seen on the street:

-Patrick Beverly and his fiance at Central Park while I was on one of those open air busses immediately after there was a thing in the recording about New Yorkers playing it cool when they see celebrities and I got really excited and pointed him out and no one else knew who he was (see photo)
-Sarah Sherman from SNL at the Fort Greene Farmer's Market (she was carrying laundry)
-My brother saw David Cross in Prospect Heights Brooklyn but I didn't recognize him (or see him) but I'm counting him because I was with my brother

I think there's some others but I can't remember them now

oh there is also a guy who lives in my neighborhood who is an editor at GQ and was at the Met Gala but I don't think he's really considered a celebrity. Also one of the guys from Entourage owns a house on my block (but doesn't live there, at least I haven't seen him)

the funny thing about the david cross sighting is that in my mind’s eye every man in brooklyn looks exactly like david cross

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I was walking down the sidewalk in the Hamptons one day right behind Marissa Tomei for like a block and a half once.  Was totally cool about the whole thing too, just like, "ah here's Marissa Tomei wearing her Dolce & Gabbana jeans, walking her cute little doggie down the street in the Hamptons.  And there she goes into this little boutique to probably buy something very expensive, bye Marissa" which was my internal dialogue.

I'm friends of friends with the child of one of GB's neighbors and may or may not have done a #1 from the edge of their lawn into his lawn about 15 years ago.

One of my wife’s good friends, sister is married to Tynes, the former kicker for the Chiefs, and I clogged up his out door bathroom at his home, by his pool, when they were out of town. By out of town, I mean he was in between the Giants and the Bucs at the time. I felt really bad about it until he got a payday for staph infection and won a lawsuit against the Bucs locker room for being unsanitary and the reason for his career coming to an end. Pretty sure he made more in that lawsuit than he did playing in the NFL. #Fanningbrag

You felt bad about clogging up his bathroom toilet until he had his career ruined by staph infection and won a lawsuit based on that infection.

I felt bad, because I had no reason being there for a pool day, but his brother in law invited us over to hang and it was his sisters place and if it was Jesus Christ himself, I would feel bad for leaving a bill for something my bowels did to their pool toilet without being invited by the home owners.
