How do you get out of that spot? Just push the car in front and behind slightly?

yes, this is also how I got into it. When a car is in park you can move it a couple inches!

(the cars were parked as shown and I parked between them).

someone is on the yellow

my landlord also lives in the building but doesn't have a car so they let me block their driveway. MY NEIGHBORS KNOW IT'S MY SPOT AND NEED TO BE GENEROUS WITH SPACE OR PAY THE PRICE (slightly nudging their bumpers)

One thing I notice in New York, NY is those pads (?) people put on their bumpers for this exact reason. Do you see those in Brooklyn?

Why do you have a car?

because my wife said we need a car

but we do use it primarily for the activities of one kid that take us either out of town on weekends or the upper east side late on weeknights. And taking people to airports.

I would like to get rid of it after that kid graduates if we stay in NYC. I often only move it for street cleaning every week. Last week I got two parking tickets because my inspection was expired (because it just sat there for a week and I never saw the first one). Did I get a notice that my inspection was expiring? NO!

Walking along sidewalk and approaching what looks like a nightclub with 3-4 guys talking to the bouncer at the door, one guy says, "what? Is it the backpack?" Bouncer responds, "it's not just the backpack. What are these jackets? Burton? You're not going skiing."

Never irl seen people get denied entry to a nightclub like that before. Lol

Wearing a backpack has to be the most surefire way to be denied entry into a club

lots of talk about that ex-marine killing that guy on the subway. yesterday there was a guy yelling on the train and at a stop an MTA employee (cop) got on and asked everyone if they felt threatened and everyone was fine and just wanted to go home so the cops like "alright" and we were about to go but the guy starts arguing with the cop and the guy says he's high as a kite and he gets off the train and gets on another one across the platform where I'm sure a new car got a new adventure.
