I think BW gets a lot of attention because he's huge and white and from kansas. There's been the random highlights of his career when he "trucks" someone, but the truth is every time he's done that the guy still tackles him. In my book, when you're a fullback and you've got a head of steam going up against a corner, you sure as hell better land forward at the very least. Now, since he doesn't really get the ball (probably due to DT), we don't know how good he is or isn't in running the ball. Throwing out a stat that he had 1.1 ypc is garbage and whoever said it is full of crap.
His blocking imo is good, not great. I'm one who likes to watch the line/fullback dish out blocks, and he misses blocks on occasion. He also get's stood up often by decent-sized linebackers, probably due to his height and pad level, not so much strength.
Overall, he's a good fullback in college. However, unless Snyder starts giving him the ball the next couple of years he won't get drafted. But unless he has an injury or starts missing blocks more often, he'll get signed by an NFL team and get a chance in the preseason. He'll probably float around and maybe make a roster.
Back on topic: There's not that many H-Back's in the traditional sense anymore in college football. If all you mean by that is like a goal-line back or power back, then we haven't had once since Victor Mann if I'm correct? We've put in some big uglies but usually it's been the starting rb taking the carries. I think it'll likely stay that way unless our running backs end up sucking balls, which is unlikely with the Brangelo situation. I've heard good things about backup FB's behind Braden but I don't even know who they are, and someone has to block for him if he does take those carries. Tight-end? I don't know what his downfield route running skills are like, and I think there's enough talent at TE to get the job done, so probably no.
