Yeah, I've been really comfortable and happy where things have been for the past 3 years. I'm concerned.

Some intimidating 50 something dude, who's been VP at several competitors for over a decade. Was a National Sales Director too.  :ohno:

Things are unlikely to change much unless the new CEO is really good or really bad.

Are you good at your job?  If yes, then don't worry about it.  If no, get better or start looking.

Yes, I'm good at my job, but I had a really good relationship with my previous CEO and it made it feel like a relaxed, fun environment. I'm afraid that part of it will change.

My experience has been that most bosses aren't that bad to work for. I wouldn't be too worried.

I’ve only seen it at larger companies and it’s usually a bloodbath at the senior management level

yes, it's a tremendous opportunity or a tremendous opportunity to go find somewhere else to work.

Ditto. Our leader deported and I was loyal to him. New guy not so much. Hello new job, new company, and bigger checks.

What are some tangible goals you've came up with when it comes to yearly reviews?

you're in sales, focus on year over year growth/results.  nothing else that you do at work matters.

I was supposed to get a new title this review, but now they have to put it on hold another 6 months because of the transition.  :bang:

YTD I've already surpassed where I was last year at the end of the year. I just wanted that new title for respect purposes when working with candidates. It will come, just hate that we have to pause things for now.

Yeah, when you introduce yourself to the new CEO, just tell him that you are whatever title you have been expecting.

I don't think anyone cares about sales guy titles at all anyway.  Other than Dr, Partner, and Principal, titles are pretty useless.

This.

Any candidate who is fooled into thinking you are not a salesman by a title is not someone you want

I’ve had several recruiters contact me on LinkedIn within the past 2 weeks with job opportunities that would double my salary.  I make good money and really like where I’m at.  I should at least explore the possibilities tho....right?
