Anyone looking for a licensed Mechanical Engineer (HVAC background but would consider doing MEP pre-con for the construction side as well)?? I may be in the market for a change of scenery soon...
Can you pull/fill teeth with that type of degree? Trying to get these new practices to launch in Northwest, Indiana. TIA.

I'd say a man who married a chemical engineer from Exxon Mobil and who owns two badaas corvettes and two homes and is able to pay for his sons to play hockey all over the US and Canada may have some wisdom to impart. I'd say his wife, my aunt, may even have more to share. It's not like I'd be moving to help support a household or that my performance would influence them in any way. When my parents were separated he owned, bought outright, two brand new corvettes. In addition, owned two boats, and a car for my aunt. They don't hurt for money at all. It's more about giving me a chance and a new start and less about an investment.

In short, he has never been in my shoes, but the person within the family that he is closest too and that he took under his wing, has been sober for 8 years.

Speaking of the sober uncle, stick broker, the last time I was in. N.Y. he wouldn't let me go to NYC alone. He told me a story about waking up in his suit covered in rat crap from falling down.

He was deep in the tunnels and clung to the walls and found his way out. He knows if a train had come by he would have been dead

He also used to get off at the twin towers atop on the subway. He was running behind that day

I think that if he offered you a job and a place in his home he really wants to help you. That combined with the fact that he has a track record of successfully helping people this may be a good opportunity for you.

getting out of your cycle is a good step toward breaking it. by staying you are not changing any variables in an equation which the outcome has been repeatedly resolved.

Good point. However. The uncle owns two corvettes.

If you're not happy without two Corvettes, you won't be happy with them.

I see now that my use of the word "stable" may have been word-associated with financial material success. I meant it in the mental/emotional/temperamental sense, which is not necessary correlated with the financial/material version.

My brother is a recruiter.  He asked me if I knew any java or .NET developers that were looking for remote work.  Sounds like a good gig with a cool company and good compensation.

If anyone is interested let me know.

I have a good friend, a delightful French woman. She may be open to being my roommate. She works a variety of jobs and has a master's in linguistics. Her main goal in life is to grow her Dream Builder business. KC is fairly stagnant on that front it appears. She may be open to being my roommate in Denver. It'd be great to have that emotional support. Working together as a team to make our lives what we want them to be. We dated briefly. But realized we were better as friends. Honestly the fact that she is 6' and I'm 5'11" bothered me a bit. I'm insecure at times. Anywho, the more I think about this the more I love it.

End of an era for me. I have zero explanation for anything that happened over the past three and a half years.
