Lib, what do you want as the resolution to your boredom issue? Have a solution in mind before you bring it up with your boss.

My solution is a different job, but that is complicated

Another job within the same company?

Then there is no reason to mention it to your boss.

Oh crap. Sorry I read your answer wrong. (Or I forget how I phrased the question.) I was thinking you wanted to leave the company.

If you want another job within the same company, then yes tell your boss. But have what other job you want in mind. Would your current boss be the boss of the other job you want?

i haven't shown up to work all week.  also haven't called or emailed to tell anyone i won't be showing up.  feels incredible, but also like it might be a little weird if i do finally go in later today or tomorrow.  can't decide whether to risk it or if it would be better to not show up tomorrow either.

have been responding to work related emails promptly from my house.

We're growing like crazy right now at my work. It's been pretty fun and stressful at the same time. We're extending our practices up into Chicago now, so i'm pretty stoked about that, because I'm bored of Indianapolis and Denver right now. However, with this growth, I had to hand over Kentucky to our new doctor recruiter. :( It was liking giving away a beautiful baby. I really enjoy Louisville. Oh well.

No he would not. It would be a different department.

I can't even imagine how stressful it is hiring dentists.  What a logistical nightmare.

Getting really bored with my job. Dunno what to do.
This is the main reason I'm changing jobs. I am very bored with my current role. Time to expand and challenge myself. More money and leadership opportunities are just gravy on the challenge biscuit.

I know you just got a raise Lib. Is there any opportunities for advancement or more projects that you might be interested in taking over? More responsibilities to keep you going?
