Is it smart to unleash Wacky on basically every college campus, give him an expense acct, and pay him to do it?  Man, I just don't know.

Also I wouldn't see the video interview as a negative about the company, necessarily. Just about every company I've worked with experiments with new HR-related software almost constantly.

Seems like an accurate statement. Might make it a positive that the company is exploring more efficient and effective ways of hiring people, which could also lead to a mindset of trying different things within the business.

I did one a few years ago Wacky and it was awful. Watching pre-recorded video questions and then video recording your answer to submit back seemed like a waste of time and gave me an negative perception on the company that wanted me to interview in the first place.

My only complaint about an interview this way is that you have no social queues to indicate how you did.  Voice/body language are not available to read.  The HR person I talked to was really impressed with mine though.

From my experience: Write down a few anecdotes or details that you want to get in there and have them sitting just off camera but where you can see them.  Try to work them in if the question allows. As you have no social queues/follow up questions to tell when a response is adequate, don't just ramble until the end of the time.  You definitely don't want just use 10 seconds or so, but no need to keep going if you have nothing else to say on the subject.  They will definitely do in person interviews and this is likely just to screen idiots so my goal was to give them something that stands out early, seem confident, and seem competent.

What did you wear, chicat? I'm doing mine tonight and I don't get off work till 9. Should I throw on a tie for this thing?

I did tie and no pants :)

Overdressing is really never a bad thing, imo.  Worst case you are showing that you are making every effort and really interested.  I've had people interview with me that were way overdressed and they pretty much always get the job

And if you want to practice, I wouldn't have your GF read you the questions.  She could write some, you take 30 seconds to prep, and you respond to your recording phone.  If you watch or hear anybody, it really doesn't give the experience of no social queues justice.  Its awkward but at least it is awkward for everyone interviewing.

Still dead.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I've received 3 job offers this week.  It's going to be tough to decide which one to take.
