Had some clients who felt the same way about Spain. Bought a house, did extensive remodeling and were all ready to make it their primary residence, and then BAM. Arrested for wire fraud and illegal kickbacks. Something to keep in mind.
Oh my. I definitely do not want to go to prison. I’m too pretty.

I assume this is free (x post cc thread)? What are you redeeming for Marriott points? I hate that I've basically given up my lifetime platinum now that I don't travel for work anymore and have used all of my Marriott points.

I was in Marco in February staying in a house and we bought a day pass to use the JW beach/pool which was pretty awesome. The only downside was the drink service on the beach chairs was pretty slow, like order then get your drink 30-45 minutes later.

I'm a big fan of all the burrowing owls on the island, they are adorable and heavily protected so they are pretty fearless of humans. You will be walking down the sidewalk, pass a burrow and the owl will just sit there screeching at you thinking its some big hot shot scaring you off.

We are booked in the adults only tower (Sirene) with its own pool and beach chairs. Allegedly service is much better there.

So, on my last trip to Chicago, they were using sniffing dogs at MCI security... usually a 10-minute process.  The dog sniffs you, and then it's a straight shot thru security, no unpacking or undressing. This morning, the dog indicated I was a POI... the TSA guy asks me to step out of line and then gets on the radio... I got a POI. We have one POI.

50 minutes later, I missed my flight.  The TSA says i was randomly selected, and then the next guy says the dog indicated there was an issue... 30 questions, used chemicals recently, shot a gun recently, worked outside.  Then the screening line is understaffed, and they have a backup.  XRay guy drops my laptop moving it off the belt to the inspection area. You have the TSA guy who is in charge... walking around with a lot of purpose... on his radio... moving tubs, but no one is getting screened.  Then they move half of us to another line... finally, they get to my stuff, hand inspect backpack, swab shoes and back pack... send me on my way.

Yeah, for sure. Negril is great. Super relaxing.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

The one thing I would have agreed with Trump on was disbanding the TSA. They're so bad. In one test, 67 of 70 test subjects bringing firearms onto flights succeeded. And it's like a trillion dollars in taxes. And then they do crap like this to people like Tom.

Can you link that test? It seems literally unbelievable to think 70 people attempted to bring a fire arm onto a plane and 95% succeeded.

"According to officials briefed on the results of a recent Homeland Security Inspector General’s report, TSA agents failed 67 out of 70 tests, with Red Team members repeatedly able to get potential weapons through checkpoints."

One time at OAK I had some joints in my bag and it gets flagged at the scanner so they do a residue wipe test on my hands and then ask me to open my bag. The agent sees this homemade candle (a Christmas present I was returning home with) sitting right next to the joints and picks it up and tells me that the wax in candles will trigger the bomb sniffer. They test the candle and everything is OK and the whole thing took 3 minutes. No negative consequences.

I guess the delay is part of the process?  See who gets nervous or acts suspicious. Thats giving TSA too much credit probably.  I think this dog got a whiff of Tater, and just wanted to ef with it's owner.

Tater would have had a better percentage no one declared a POI was detained during my run thru their gauntlet.
