Currently trying to plan a week-long family beach vacation for 2024. A 7-bedroom house with a pool on the beach. We did this 4 years on New Smyrna Beach. Now looking at the islands around Charleston/Savanna, Myrtle Beach, & Gulf Shores.

Plans changed. Booked a villa in Puerto Vallarta.

Guy on last flight was one of those fake busy guys who opens his computer before we take off and frantically swipes from window to window every 10 seconds and sends like one email in a two hour flight but man oh man is he busy

This is exactly what was going on. Michcat was snooping so the guy played shuffle every time he felt he was being watched.

Mich is a known, unapologetic screen looker, so this checks out.

Yeah I got here a little late to see it yesterday. Going to the royals/cubs game so not sure if I'll be able to see it today. Would be a good spot tho!

n00b question: How much time should I allow for a layover when flying MCI --> (DFW or ORD or CLT) --> London. American has some iteneraries with a 35 minute layover before the  flight to London. This seems really short and I might miss the international flight? Maybe 90 minutes? I don't check any luggage.

Missing your flight on vacation can be fun. It can also suck butt. Choose wisely (or don't).

I would take a short layover if there are multiple flights after the one you have scheduled.  ORD or DFW probably have more flights than CLT but not sure! I'd also check on the gate sitch - is the international flight in a different terminal? A lot of hub airports have international departures in the same terminal as domestic departures but not all. But generally if you're booking through the airline, the connections probably aren't frequently missed.

Also we don't know if there is an event you need to be at or a price/redemption you need to meet or what your options are. You aren't giving us nearly enough info to give the board that kind of attitude
