so like yeah you have to wear an N95 and show your vax card everywhere, and America's reputation has never been lower, but $1.02:1 makes it an incred time to be an American in Europe  :excited:

LA and day trip to Catalina Island this weekend/coming week.

$ to Euro, time to consider buying some of that Euro sourced audio equipment.

Two words:

1.) Boats; and
2.) Hoes.

Kauai with the fam Jul 13 - Jul 23.

4 first class tix OMA-DEN-LIH on United. Lie flats DEN-LIH leg. All on points booked right when the calendar opened on saver rates
5 nights in a 2br deluxe suite at Grand Hyatt all on points
5 nights in a 2br airbnb in hanalei on cash. booked in deep covid and have a steal.
rented a full size SUV for the entirety at the same time for almost nothing and it's outrageous what it would cost me to rent it if I was booking today
4 tix SW LIH-LAS-OMA on the way back (nightmare fuel here, but was cheap AF)

terrified any of the above are going to try to last minute cancel me somehow because they can book any of that for WAY more value/$ than I have them for.

Affordable wine and affordable AirBNB's. Got some beaches. Some islands off the coast, but not very close. That's all I know.

Absolutely loved it. Bottle of vihno Verde every night along the avenue de liberdarde. Ramiro for seafood. Baía do Peixe in Cascais for bottomless seafood . Bring me back a bottle of Ginjinha

Also hilly AF.  You'll beg for SF.  Or maybe that was Porto.  They were both very hilly.

Attention SD. I may be bringing the fam to the thriving metropolis of Omaha in a couple of weeks. Going to hit a Storm Chaser game and prob the zoo. Its been a bit since I've been to Omaha and I normally was by myself or with work people. What are some good places where I can have good food and booze drinks and my kids can play games or at the very least something they will like? Thanks for any recs.

chasers games rule for kids. foul ball/home run ball city out there. and tons for kids to do with bounce houses and crap. zoo obviously elite. tons of new stuff opened in the last 24 months. bring a swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes for the kids. splash pad and playground there have tons of water stuff and rule. are you talking like arcade games at restaurants and stuff? I don't have much there for you unfortunately. Where are you staying? Blatt (downtown or west) is my favorite place in town and I've mentioned it a trillion times ITT. great high end bar food and beer selection. cool vibe. west one at least has shuffleboard. not sure of downtown. Pitch is a great higher end pizza/italian/bar place. My kids like walking around the Old Market area and going into the candy and ice cream stores and crap. Gene Leahy Mall was just re-done and is getting good reviews. I've not taken the kids down there yet though. It's just a park downtown but if you're down there already I'd check that out.
