i grew up going to Galveston with my fam in houston but have not been since the 90s
the Hotel Galvez is a cool old hotel that is in the process of being renovated and it looks like the bar and lobby are done so maybe a good happy hour for you to take Mrs 33 to

i always enjoyed riding the ferry and bringing bread to feeding the seagulls

We’re working on putting together a Galveston trip in early August. Oldest will be under 5 though so likely different interests.

SLC.  They cut the mid-day return flight from the schedule, so timing sucks as well

I hope I can go the rest of my life without stepping foot in to the Charlotte airport for the rest of my life. 6 hour delay on the first leg of my trip to savannah and now a 8 hour delay followed by cancellation on the return trip.

Great. Never been there but we are flying thru there next month. Booked flights thru our resort and then they informed me that the flight schedules had been readjusted to include a layover in Charlotte. We will now end up with about 24 hrs of travel time to get to the resort.

if your layover is not measured in days the NoDa brewery in Terminal A is my favorite spot in CLT
A is the newest terminal I think and American does not use it so it has never been crowded the half dozen times I have been thru CLT
