Odd takes on Colo Springs considering the dopers, homeless, and other oddities downtown. Def didn't have a Christian Culty feel where we stayed.

It's not so much the "Christians" it's that everyone you encounter could pass for a youth pastor

Funny story, kinda related to Wichita, CO Springs and christians, but not really travel...

My very christian parents, who live in Wichita, were going to go to a conference at Focus on the Family in the middle of the pandemic, but I talked them out of it.  And then the week after the conference there was a covid outbreak at FotF, so was very thankful they didn't go.  But then they caught covid at church in Wichita a few months after that.  So I guess I am saying that CO Springs and Wichita are very similar in that christians loved to spread covid in both cities.

Guys, Tahoe is amazing. Check into your hotel, a quick $90 win at the black jack table then take a 5 min scooter ride to the lake for some beers

Currently 83 degrees with no humidity at X thousand feet up.

Please tell me exactly where that is, I am going to Tahoe with fam in July.
Called "Beach House" in South Lake Tahoe. Only open noon to 6pm.

Just a fyi apparently you have to pay $25 per person to access the beach at this location so if you plan on bringing your gaggle of kids there are better/cheaper places. Not many better places to crush some light domestic lagers tho.

The thing about Colorado Springs is all of the cool things to do aren't actually in the city. Everything east of I-25 is Wichita/Tulsa/Olathe/Toledo/Gary/Laredo.

A friend just got back from Colorado Springs and was telling me about a random hole in the wall bar she went to in Woodland Park CO (base of pikes peak kinda). She noticed everyone was had some unique patch on their shirt/hat then saw a poster in the bathroom advertising for the local militia meet up every Friday...

Then the county sheriff (50 year old lesbian) tried to get her to go home with her and kept telling her how "this is her town and she makes the rules around here".

Yute Saloon or something like that was the name.

I read like a 50 slide PowerPoint uploaded by the LA county sheriff dept or something that had several hilarious typos/misspelled words and also recounted the Laughlin shootout. It was great.

I never knew this but also everyone I know that goes to Tahoe is way too fancy for the casinos.

I went to a Lyle Lovett concert at the Silver Legacy Casino a couple summers ago and it was great except for a shitty pool. (No gang shootouts)

I also genuinely enjoyed how all the advice for dealing with them was like “talk to the officers of the gang and see if they will let you arrest someone if you have to.”

It took a long time to get to what makes any of them outlaw as opposed to gross but very structured organization.
