The only way to fly on SW is get a window seat with a buffer seat (Mrs. Gooch) in the middle to keep people away from me.

i just get the exit row that doesn't have a seat in front of it

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I get super upset when a short guy gets that seat.

Next time I get an exit row seat I am going to slide my butt down on the seat real far so I can use up all the leg room.  ;)

I flew with my 3 this spring.  Getting from car to ticket counter with bags, car seats, etc and keeping kids corralled is the hardest part.  Lots of people willing to give a hand to help out a dad with little kids.  Most airports have family bathrooms otherwise that would be a catastrophe.

I fly with lil sd a lot (he even has a flying car seat because it's lighter and not as wide as his normal one) but not by myself. I think one would be pud but multiple would be tough by myself.

Kids are on every flight and will be forever which is why you always fly with high-quality headphones.

curb checking the bags and car seats is a must in this situation.

At KCI I will have the car seats out of the other car ready tagged and ready to check.  If it is cold I add about 30 minutes extra on to my arrival so I can circle the around a time or two until I can park right in front of the sky cap so the kids can wait in the car and I don't have to drag luggage and seats along in the line.  Once checked in I usually do the Parking Spot so the kids do have to ride in the van w/o seats for the 2 mile trip back to the terminal.

With 1.5 and 4 I suggest upgrading to a well built roller bag so you can do the 1.5 on your shoulders and the 4 year old can sit on the roller, they also make some kid of chairs you can add like below if you don't trust the 4 year old to hold on

That second picture is like a 12 year old kid. That kid needs to get up and walk.
