Wow, sleepfighter! That looks amazing. I have you fought sleep out there, because that looks like I'd wanna be awake 24/7 to see that amazing landscape.
Most of the time we stayed in semi-permanent tent camps. The tents had concrete foundations, full beds, and a bathroom area with a chemical toilet and a bucket shower, so it wasn't exactly roughing it. But still, we could hear zebras, wildebeest, and even an elephant eating within a hundred feet of us.
At three of the locations, every night there would be armed guards patrolling the campsite with either Masai spears or with bows and poisoned arrows! We would hear lions or hyenas occasionally, but they weren't all that close. Still, at those camps they were all like, "Hey, don't leave your tent at night without calling for us."
