ugh, just had to cancel my United flight to New York.

More specifically, I had to change the flight with a $200 change fee (fare rules said I couldn't cancel). So I change the flight, even find a lower fare. Surely the fare difference would pay for some of the $200, right? nope. The fare difference goes back to a united credit. Maybe I can use some flight credits I already had for the $200 fee? Nope, the $200 has to be new.

gross, I miss SW. :frown:

Looks neat!

Don't.

It's non-negotiable.  We will be stuck in Parsons, Ks for part of the week and Branson is the best thing we could come up with.

Interesting!

Is this a Silver Dollar City reference?  I already made plans to take the 2, 4, & 6yr old BFs there!  The oldest keeps asking if there will be a foam ball shooting place like at Worlds of Fun.  I hope there is!

:emawkid: Also, I went there with my dad right after I turned 21. I don't remember seeing one bar there. I could be wrong, but it's definitely a family destination.

I haven't been to Branson since about 1991.  Is there any reason to go there now or should I revisit this topic in another 24 years?

It depends. Do you like rolls thrown at you while you eat?

Not usually.  Plus your post about not seeing any bars really knocks Branson down as a destination.

I use to love to take girls to Eureka Springs (just south of there) until this last Summer with Ms. Wacky. That town is dying  :frown: but it's still beautiful down there. It's infested with bikers now and all the neat shops are closing up.  :frown: However, plenty of caves to go see and Beaver lake too.

Beaver lake is pretty fantastic
