Heading to Chicago tomorrow for a quick work trip... Any recommendations on where to grab lunch? I'll be downtown, so something in the Loop would be convenient. TIA.

flew to Trenton/Mercer this week. it was about as meh as it sounds.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Looks like we're doing Marco in June. We're going with another couple who's family has a condo there too. The guy i'm going with just retired from the Marines after a near death assignment in Belize. He's got some other buddy who has a huge boat and lives in Jacksonville. He's going to meet us down in marco with it and we're going to take it up the coast. Deep sea fishing bros!

Make fun of him for getting thrown out of marines for not being able to hack a Belize station.

PTSD bros are the best bros to go out into deep, deep, silent, abysmal water with.

I liked the comment I just don't wanna explain to fanning how his PTSD bro is lying about his marine career.

He was in the marines for like 14 years.  :dunno: Maybe he did, I don't know. He said they sniffed out his cover (don't know what the assignment was) and blind folded him and tortured him. He had a gun placed under his chin during the process and his buddy had to pull some rambo crap to save his life. He was dating my gf's best friend for awhile, when all of a sudden he disappeared for two months (during the same time frame) and came back and surprised her at her door. That's when he handed in his crap the next day. Maybe he made it all up.  :dunno:

P.S.- He did make some fantastic belize brunch the other day. It involved goat meat, a weird chz, a cracker, and more.

pro-tip: people who go undercover don't tell people they were undercover and they sure as hell don't tell undercover stories
pro-tip II: people who are in the Marines and go undercover don't just "hand in their crap" and quit.  That is called "AWOL"

I bet this guy watched True Lies a lot

Well the only person he told the story to was his gf. Cause she had been uncontacted for the 2 months and got really depressed and he had to convince her that he had no communication. To be fair, he only really told her the story and it got handed off to me through my gf. I want it to be true, but 'stone is pretty much telling me that santa clause isn't real again.  :frown:
