going to vegas monday night thru thursday night.  fiancee has a work conference so I'll be on my own during the days.  any recommendos for just rolling around solo?  always been with huge groups before, kind of excited to just lone ranger around.  also need good(?) recommendos for nice fancy dinner as we're going to do our anniversary dinner there.  tia.

Eiffel Tower restaurant was amazing, imo. But this is admittedly coming from a hillbilly.

I've actually been before and it was good. We have a resort credit at Aria that only applies to their dining, no other MGM places. Fiancée picked Javier's. Going to do that, then Jean Phillipe for dessert.

Been spending most of my time wandering around the strip and playing cheap table games at Casino Royale and the Quad/Linq.

The new O'Sheas was fairly underwhelming, not enough "character" as the old one and it's smaller.

Javier's looks garbagey (not really but relative). Go to the Julian Serranos. Jean Phillipe is a coffee stand with a line and multiple locations. It is good though.

I stopped flying a long time ago.  See, the same thing happened to bus travel.  Traveling by bus was once a really nice, upscale thing to do.  Then, it started going downhill.  That's what's been happening to air travel.

Side note: I always found that New York, New York was a great place to cheaply day gamble before returning somewhere nicer to post up at the sportsbook during the evenings. It's also a pretty big shithole, so that's probably the reason why.

I was especially impressed with their craps tables. Quite a few places on the south side of the strip have pretty run down craps tables except NYNY...they looked almost brand new when I was out there
