Might even have tossed granola at the same friendly marmots that are everywhere up there!   :raccoon:

You're not supposed to feed the animals.  :nono:

I tossed some deer jerky at a friendly deer...  that one went too far...

I haven't done the Lawn / Mummy hike yet, but I'd really like to.  Next big one I want to do is either Mt. Meeker or Fairchild, mostly because when I was about 10 my older cousin did them.

Going to Colorado from 5/16-5/20.

We are going to a Rockies game after flying in on 5/16, then staying the night in Denver.  (Hotel near Coors field recommendation appreciated.)

Then, the next morning we are renting a car and driving to Loveland for a bit so I can get a slurpee at the 7-11 where my dad used to take us to go get slurpees when I was a kidden_mittons.  Then I will go check out some nostalgic places before driving up to Estes Park.  We would like to rent a cabin or something of the sort on 5/17 and 5/18.  (Cabin near Estes Park recommendation appreciated.)

We would like to do some hiking over those days.  I already know I want to go to Round Mountain (for nostalgic reasons).  But I'm not sure of any super secrety type hiking places up there.  (Super secrety hiking place near Estes Park recommendation appreciated.)

On Monday night, we would like to stay somewhere in Fort Collins, because I remember that place being pretty neat.  (Hotel in Fort Collins recommendation appreciated.)

We will have all day Tuesday to check out Fort Collins type things before having to get on a plane in Denver around 9pm.

**ATTENTION STEVEN DAVID**
I have no hotel points anywhere.

The baseball stadium is close to the 16th street mall which has bars, restaurants, etc.  There is a shuttle that goes up and down the 16th so if you are worried about walking to the properties further up, its not a big deal.  I've stayed at The Curtis, Monaco, Four Seasons, Teatro, and Crowne Plaza on that stretch.  For a lower price I would prob recommend The Curtis or Crowne.  For impressing a lady friend The Four Seasons is unmatched.  Room 1111 will get you the best views for a non-suite.

If you come to the Winter Park area, let me know and I will meet you somewhere for a beer.  Not terribly far from Estes and there is a neat hike to Devil's Thumb (5 hour or so round trip) but May might be too early for the snow to be done melting.

So I'm in Sioux Falls, and I gotta say I like it. The actual falls are pretty cool, other than there are no trees. Mocatdad's dad's house was built in 1890. Suck that non European Americans

What would you have done to prepare yourself?

Also, shellshock is better about reminding folks about his trip to Hawaii than steve dave was.

Guys after we got engaged we went to both of those lakes and I fished them.  She was cool with it because she was just sitting there moving the ring around in the sun.  I didn't catch any up there but I did rip a bunch on Lawn.

I haven't ate anywhere too fancy by Vegas standards.  Robuchon is probably where I would go if I wanted one really fancy meal there.  Michael Mina's restaurants have done pretty well by me in the past as good happy hour places for weekdays.
