144, New England and then the middle states of WV/Penn/NJ/Delaware I have yet to go to. I also technically never been to (but counted a through, the 1 ptr) tons of times in Minny, and some in SLC.

Can truly say stayed in NM, TX, NC, AL, MT, KY for extended times, beyond just "stayed here" I guess, but practically any work trip per SDs criterial extends that to like 20 some states.

Stayed/visited/stopped/passed is infuriating.

I must have done it wrong if yours is that high based on this info. I should also get extra credit from having stayed in WV, ND, and OH.  :Yuck:

You should stay in Maine and cross off a few of those along the way. It's beautiful up there!

It's an important distinction with not clear avenue of a compromise

Here’s the thing. I stayed in DC and West Virginia on a trip, but on the way there and back, I visited a winery in Virginia and ate crab cakes in Maryland. Case closed!

Here’s my example. I went to the 2007 Auburn game, but our hotel was in Atlanta. I stayed in Georgia & visited Alabama.

I stayed in PA with EMAWgeddon, but on the way to NYC, we stopped in NJ for gas (probably. I don’t remember). Stopped at the NJ turnpike for sure.

I've lived in 8 different states. I only counted New York as "stayed here" because I've been there in totality for well over 3 months but have never received mail there, that's where my wife is from.

Anywhere I intentionally visited a site at, could leave a Google review for that place, at got visited here.

Did not do any "stopped here" places where I laid over or just got gas at got a passed though.
