I like how "Kansas State" is the perfect level of how good a kid should feel about himself. If he goes somewhere else like Florida his head is too big, but If they pick a Tulsa or Arkansas St, they don't have enough confidence in themselves and are afraid to work.  We're pretty lucky that all of us are tied to the school that's just right for how confident everyone should feel in themselves.

It's really a fascinating defense mechanism.

I was expecting to see posts here justifying the NC loss today and someone explaining how having Angel wouldn't of changed the outcome

Honest question for those of you with GPC accounts.

Why do you guys pay for that site other than for comedic value? Is there stuff on it that makes it worth it?

it's one of two places on the internet where people congregate to discuss kansas state athletics.

Talked for a while last night with a coaching buddy of mine who attended the Don Meyer Coaches Clinic last week in KC. If you don't know, Coach Meyer is the long time coach at the lower college levels who was the winningest all time coach until Coach K passed him recently. He also had the car accident and cancer and won the Jimmy V award a few years ago. Needless to say, he is a Giant in the coaching industry. My buddy said that Coach Meyer said he never went above D2 because, "you have to sell your soul to coach at the highest level." He basically said everyone at the highest levels cheat. Sounds like he really trashed on Calipari, Boeheim, and even mentioned Self, saying he is good friends with Self, but if everyone around you is cheating, you do the same. He also mentioned that the reason Brad Stevens went to the Celtics is because he knew that he would not be allowed to cheat at Butler, and he would not be able to compete night in and night out in the Big East without cheating. He said that Coach Meyer talked about how if the wins become more important than the process, than you are coaching for all the wrong reasons. Made me feel good to have a guy like Coach Snyder, who has never and will never value winning before the process. As I drove home and thought about what my friend had told me, it made me feel better about Coach Weber also. I really believe that Coach Weber is a stand-up guy and does not want to get involved in the mud and muck. That is why he didn't have enormous success at Illinois. People want to bag on him for failing at Illinois, but the truth is, he didn't cheat enough to win at Illinois. In my opinion, KSU is a different beast. As long as Currie is in town, our coaches will not be allowed to cheat, and with that in mind, I think Weber is a good fit, as he is as good of a pure basketball coach as anyone out there. Give him equal talent, he will beat 95% or more of the coaches in the business. Whether he can consistently beat KU, I don't know, KU is running in the circles with the Kentucky's and the Syracuse's of the world. Coach Weber will have to do it by developing players, not buying them. Just some basketball thoughts on a Friday morning.

What in the eff? So you can't get great talent without cheating but if oscar had it... only if!

My favorite part was where Brad Stevens left Butler to coach the Celtics because he's not allowed to be a big cheaty at Butler.

# OF SACKS FOR MUELLER?
Is he at 10.5?

Stupid ESPN stats only show him with 4.  Bet if he played for a "glamour" school the stats would be updated and correct.

The Catch 22 is that if he played at a glamour school, he wouldn't even have 4 sacks

Sams is a rough ridin' stud. That high step out of bounce was unnessary, but sexy as eff. I think it's part of his gene, he feels the need to do it on a daily basis. He probably does it on his way to class.

I love the high-step, and think it's actually something he does to try and get more yards, but on that play he could have gained more yards, and perhaps a touchdown cutting back inside.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I agree nicname, but I made the mistake of tweeting that and got called names and such.

That said, someone needs to put together a season compilation gif of all high steps because it would be fantastic.
