You’re basing your argument that his was a risky hire on the fact that he stayed at Baylor for 19 years. He had opportunities in those years to take other jobs, it’s not as though ours was his first opportunity. What was the risk to KSU that you have identified?

I’ll suggest that his hiring was about as low risk as there is for good old KSU.

Unless by "fans" you mean the big money donors, it would clearly be the latter. A casual fan (me) wouldn't assume their NIL commitment is going to do anything to sway a coach's decision.

Some of the NIL donations can be pledged for a specific sport, so I could easily imagine part of the discussion being whether the "general" donations should be split proportionally or whether a program with less pledged donations should get a disproportionate share of the general fund to make up for it.

It is fake. Rothstein hasn't posted about Tang after the one he and goodman and everyone else did that he was the top candidate.
