Tang doesn't owe us anything for hiring him from Baylor. He had offers before, he was just waiting for a good one.

That said, save for the Tomlin stuff Tang has everyone going for him at ol' KSU. Instant success, strong fanbase, consistently best basketball conference. The wildcard is how he feels about his bosses at each school, which can count for a lot (and was obviously the reason Frank bounced).

Takeaway here is we hire perfect fits 2 out of 3 times because tang is also a perfect fit for here. (3 out of 4 if you count huggs)

You’re basing your argument that his was a risky hire on the fact that he stayed at Baylor for 19 years.  He had opportunities in those years to take other jobs, it’s not as though ours was his first opportunity. What was the risk to KSU that you have identified?
