It's a scheduling quirk with new Big 12.  Other teams are having to do that too.

I figured it had to do w/ the realignment, but never noticed it until I was ordering my season tix.

so let me get this straight...

-carson coffman was one of the worst college qbs in all of college fball last year
-kstate would've won mu and bu if carson didn't cost them those games
-we have both mu and bu at home this year
-collin klein was better than coffman
-collin klein is returning
-there are two qbs that are even better than klein that will be on the roster
-every wide receiver, the tight end and the fullback are back and healthy
-brown brother at running back

and the ksu football team isn't even going to win as many regular season games as they did last year? i don't get it. what am i missing?

look, I hate CCQ as much as the next guy, but our offense put up 40+ points that game.  I don't think that one can be pinned on him.

wild wild wes mantooth has a point.   :ksu:

Okay, OK_cat is onboard.  Who else?   :bracketmouse: <--except with purple kettle corn and minature purple wild wild wildcat football
eff.  I didn't want to be in this camp.  I really didn't.  I said last year that if Cosh was retained that I wouldn't watch a single snap this year.  I can't do it.  I just can't.  And I'm not willing to root for multiple train-wreck seasons just so we can move on from Snyder.  It's not gonna happen anyway so we might as well just hope for the best.

Count me in, I guess.  I'm never gonna tuck my t-shirt in and I'm never gonna get behind Cosh, but I'm sure as hell not gonna wish for a disaster.

And all you guys that are hoping for a disastrous season just so you can be validated can eff straight off!  :kstatriot:

Okay now, this camp I apparently built is picking up steam.  Who's next?  Rick Daris?  :crossfingers: Steve Dave?   This camp tent was built extra big and could hold a bunch of people.  Also, we left an open space on the west side in case we need to add another big tent to the current big tent, thus creating a really big tent for this camp.  Ok Cat, come on inside this camp, would ya?

if your camp is named "kstate wins at least nine regular season games this year because coffman isn't the qb anymore" then 95% of this message board should enroll in it. better start hiring more counselors. go cats.

Just to be clear, you haven't officially joined the camp just yet?  You would be head counselor if that makes a difference, but no that is not the name of the camp.  Camp name is actually "Win wild wildcats win!" or something to that effect.  love cats, want them to win, not lose...ever.

If you are cheering for KSU to win this year you are not a true K-State fan. You are not a true fan.

Hey Dr. Jerome, your squawk is showing.     Seriously, in what twisted world does losing a bunch of games sound like fun/make us better?  Snydie isn't going anywhere win, lose, or draw.  Best thing you can do is enjoy the crap out of Q@ football starring Bryce Brown, Arthur Brown, Dan Sams, Chris Harper, Brod Smith, D Robinson, Tre Walker, etc, etc, etc.

All those guys would be much better and more fun to watch with a different head coach/staff.

I love Cat football. But 8 wins?! Are you forgetting how big a bag of crap our defense is? Worst defense we've ever had. Ever! Almost last in the nation last year. I'm thinking 6 wins is our ceiling as long as fucktard Cosh is on the staff.

I get your stance, but one shitty season may be enough for staff to be addressed.

Also, I don't see any way that Currie could ever successfully fire Bill.  Ever.  Currie will be railroaded out before boosters let that happen.

If Currie did ever pull the trigger, boosters would tighten up on him so fast, it would cripple the rest of the AD.  Shortly after, he would leave, or be shown the door himself.  Lose/lose on the firing part.

Bill has to leave by his own power, and unfortunately that only happens in a few ways(most of which are unfavorable).
There's plenty of precedent for AD's going over the top of boosters.  If Currie sat Snyder down in the midst of another mediocre/shitty season and gave him The Ultimatum, I have no doubt Snyder would choose to step down gracefully and/or realign the staff.  But I guess we'll agree to disagree.

Regardless, why ROOT for a losing season unless all you're looking for is validation and you fear being wrong more than anything else?  I can understand being pissed off with another mediocre season.  Hell, I can understand being happy with a horrible season.  But I can't understand being unhappy with a great season.  If you're rooting for a horrible season before it even starts, that means you necessarily have to be upset with a great season.  If you're going to be upset with a great season, that means you value validation and "I told you so" more than you do q@s success.  Ipso facto, you suck.

I don't expect a great season.  I don't plan on a great season.  Matter of fact, if we're gonna have another mediocre/boring season I would rather it be a dumpster fire of a season.  But that doesn't mean I'm rooting for shitty season.

The truth is, none of us really know what to expect.  We'll have a brand new QB (Tuggle or Sams   ), a 5 star running back being backed up by a 4 star, a solid receiving core, and a stud linebacker.  We seemed to have shored up our DL at least to some extent.  I don't expect any miracles, but I'm also not willing to waste a season hoping my team loses.

Now, if we start the season 2-4...bring on the abortion!  :emawkid:
"Son. This is why we are wildcats. Hard work, pride, the heart of this country. And if that's not enough for you, you can just move to California with your punk friends."

Maybe, but what if we got a new coach and Dan Sams decided to transfer?  He's shown a ton of emaw up to this point, would hate to see him go.

Snyder is going to be our coach this year, pretty sure of that.  Cheering for us to suck isn't going to change that, probably not even for 2012.

Would you rather cheer on some talented young cats or route against the team in purple.  Doubt you could even route against them if you tried.

ksu football won 7 regular season games last year with the same staff and coffman as qb. why would we not think 8 or more wins this year?

Here is my deal:

I like winning but I hate watching football like most of last year's games.   Honestly, winning in that manner feels almost like losing.  Exhausted after most games.  Disgusted after most games.  Felt close to losing.

Taking a long term approach here.

To be clear I never predicted 8 wins, didn't make a prediction at all.  Just real excited about cheering my cats onto victory this fall and don't want them to fail just to get Snyder out.  :dunno:

Everyone here would love to see the cats win a NC next year; I know I sure as hell would.  Half of us realize that WILL NEVER happen with Bill and I would love to eat crow on that one.  No one is hoping for a disaster season - it's just the most likely scenario for getting rid of obz <---- DO WANT.   So if I have to sit in a bar wearing cats gear listing to ROCK CHALK chants as Gill hands OBZ his ass to get a new coaching staff.... I'd suck it down like a tablespoon of Imodium AD and smile knowing my diarrhea will soon be gone.

this is the kind of camp that ends up on the news for being shut down due to counselors touching kids and for repeated health code violations.  also a little like an arizona sweat lodge retreat.
