Would only take an 8/9 seed if we play WSU in the 2nd round.

Can you imagine shockernet if we beat them?

Would validate ENTIRE SEASON. :Purple Koolaid:

Hey guys, I was just wondering if we lose all of our remaining games if we would still make the Big Dance.  Because I'm pretty sure we're not going to win another game.  Thanks.
Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

If we lose out, no way we make the tournament.

At this point I think it's more likely the Cats fall to a 10 than rise to a 7. ISU at home would be a significant win though.

I think we are gonna have to get 3 more wins to get off of the 8/9 game.   That could be going 3-1 to end the season or 2-2 and win a Big12 tourney game (very likely the 4 vs 5 game in the B12).   Like always it will depend on what those teams that are barely ahead of us do the rest of the year too.

I had Memphis as my weakest 7 seed.  They have a good 20-6(10-4) record but only 4 of those wins are vs top 150.  Lunardi had SMU as a 7 while I have them as a 9.  Their non con SOS being 294 is horribly bad.  And the American conference has good teams in the top half and terrible teams in the bottom half (thus the 8th rated conf overall).  So the conf sched for SMU helps them some but their overall SOS is still 165(rpi 45)
**  Last year Oregon went 26-8 but non con SOS was 253 and their overall SOS was only 125, RPI 46.   They got a 12 seed

Would only take an 8/9 seed if we play WSU in the 2nd round.

Yeah, being in the 8/9 game with Shockers as the 1 would be totally fine.  If we don't get that, then being in the 8/9 game will likely suck

Ya, that was some bullshit for OSU as a 5 to have to play Oregon in San Jose, almost as bad as UNLV having to play 12 seeded Cal there.

 :dunno:

KU
KSU
OU –(former KSU coach Kruger from Silver lake Kansas)
Stephen F. Austin – (Former KSU assistant Brad Underwood from McPherson Kansas)
Southern Methodist --  (Former KU coach Larry Brown)
Wichita State
Oklahoma State – (Bill Self’s Alma mater)
Colorado – (Former KU player and Wichita State assistant Tad Boyle)
Michigan – Knocked KU out of tourney last year
Boston U -  (B team)

I mean… come on Lunardi… give me a break.

Yea, no way that happens. Just the 3 Kansas teams and both Oklahoma teams being in the same region make it pretty :dubious:

I would rather play them than any other possible 1 or 2 seed that we might face as a 7-10 seed, and it's really not even close.

The bubble is really soft this year. I mean, we win 1 out of the remaining 4 and we're fine.

Outlook
The Wildcats are a home court hero. They suffered their sixth straight road loss at Oklahoma on Saturday. They may have too many good wins to leave out entirely, but their seed will not be good if they don't ever get a good win on the road.

At 11 wins(conf) , does this get us better than the 8/9 line ? I believe it does.

Yeah, cause we're definitely not losing a home game.
