We'd pretty much have to lose out not to make the tournament.

I have no idea why anyone is talking or worrying about "the bubble"

Those who are have no idea how bad the current 11 seeds and "Last 4 team in" really are

Right now we are a 8 seed IMO.

We have a game at Tech in a few days.  Lets see how our team rebounds from a butt kicking

wait, how do underrated freshmen overachieve?  if the freshmen are really good then they should be doing way better than this crap.
They got us here to our current state, which is IN!

oh well, hell.  hang a banner.  right next to oscar's coach of the year award.

I think the difference between this team on the road and home is real and significant. Also, I don't put much stock into being a little flat against a terrible TCU team.

I put stock in the last two games played being the worst games played since December. I think we are running out of gas, we'll see.

Its possible, I certainly wouldn't rule it out. But I see the problems in the two games completely seperate. We played solid defense against TCU the entire game, we just had a flat offensive effort after we got up early and had a bunch of silly turnovers. Honestly, I think Nino getting into foul trouble hurt a lot because he's great as the baseline swing guy against a zone and without Southwell we were in trouble. Plus we just played uninspired basketball.

However, in the OTs against Baylor (we played pretty good defense in regulation) and against OU our defense has been awful. If we don't play defense we won't win because we are a below average offensive team with major turnover problems. We are average on the offensive glass and don't get to the foul line a lot.

We'll have to see how we do Tuesday, it would be really big to win that game.

How anyone can expect this team to win outside of Bramlage is beyond me.

I think we'll win our first game in KC. We'll have a home court advantage vs anyone except KU there.

That home court advantage worked out real well against La Salle last year in KC.

Hey man, oscar has won more games in his first two years than any coach in k-state history.  he can lose every ncaa tournament game from now til the end of time and he'll still have won more games in his first two years than any other coach in k-state history. so just stfu already.

We're literally guaranteed a NIT final 4 if we can get a 1 or 2 seed and pound some puds in the fOOD

We are going to the tornament.

We will win the 8/9 game.

We will lose a close game against the 1 seed.
yep, we are destined to lose a tough game vs UF in Orlando or Syracuse in Buffalo and I will be thinking about the Heslip and Holmes as we intentionally foul the in the final minute.

Cats got some work to do to get out of the 8/9 seed matchup come March.  That work could start down at Tech.  FWIW, I have Ku as a 2, Isu as a 4, OU and Texas as 6 seeds right now.  Baylor at 6-8 probably barely in right now.

Team/Seed    Record (Conf)   RPI     SOS    1-25    26-50      Other stat/comment

At this point I think it's more likely the Cats fall to a 10 than rise to a 7. ISU at home would be a significant win though.

How much value does the BIG 12 tournament have? If we can make a run in there... does that boost national perception and help people forget we scored 22 points in the first half in Norman?

Maybe helps a bit if we beat ISU, UT, or OU. Would be significant if we beat KU.

Call me blinded by K-State optimism, but I think this team can do that.  It would be nice if all our players were healthy for that.

Would only take an 8/9 seed if we play WSU in the 2nd round.

Can you imagine shockernet if we beat them?
