I said this earlier in this thread, but UMass is so overrated. They should be an 11 or 12 seed.

They played a pretty solid non con schedule (22nd best) and that is why their overall SOS is decent, which makes their rpi in the top 15.

They are currently 4th in A-10 right now behind SLU (who I think is a 6) and GW/VCU (who I have as 9s).   Right now their resume would have them around 7-8 seed IMO.   Best RPI/SOS and they have the most top50 wins of the 4 Atl-10 teams.   At the same time, they are not a team I would be afraid to play in the 1st rd of NCAA.   They still play at GWash and SLU/Vcu at home, so they may get exposed here down the stretch

This is my favorite one yet... Roy and an overrated UNC in Rd 1, WSU in Rd 2, in STL/MEM. Can we just jump ahead 5 weeks and make this happen?

Up to 30 in the RPI this morning...We've climbed about 15 spots in 3 days. KU still at 1 despite 6 losses. Also worth noting is Ole Miss is now at 56. If they can gain those 6 more spots we'll be 7-3 vs. the top 50.

I understand that RPI is flawed, but it is a tool the committee uses.

After last night I would guess we'd be in the 6/7 range now?

Probably 7.

We're in good shape, but we still probably need a couple more road wins and to win out in the OOD.

Any way if we run the table and make the BIGXII tournament championship game that we grab a 4 seed?

0% chance of us running the table.

If we do this we'll be a 2.

If we limp to the finish and only win 2 more what will we get?

I had Ksu as a 7 seed before last night, but we were in the 7-8 seed mix.   Now we are a very solid 7 seed (and really no one can say we should be in the 8 vs 9 seed game).   A win in Waco and we will be a 6 seed IMO, but we will stay a 7 with a loss.

7-4 in the best conference combined with 6 wins vs top 35 rpi teams.  That's big time.  No one outside the top 10 RPI teams have more than 2 wins vs top 25 RPI.  Kstate has 4.   And No team outside of the top 12 RPI teams have 6 top 50 wins (except for us)

If we limp to the finish and only win 2 more what will we get?

Not concerned about that right now.  Mainly because I don't think that will happen.

Currently on the 7 line against 10 Stanford.  Duke is the 2 in the 2-15 matchup.  I haven't seen much of Duke this year outside of the Syracuse game so I don't know if that is 1 of the more favorable matchups we could hope for or not  :dunno:

K-State is currently 6-3 vs the RPI Top 50 and 8-5 vs the Top 100. Last year the Cats were 6-8/8-8 by comparison. If we can manage to pick up 2-3 road wins the rest of the way getting to the 6 line is likely.

Duke has the most efficient offense in the country (ridiculously good at 1.28 ppp), but also the worst defense Coach K has had in the kenpom era (back to 03).

This bracket is dogshit.

Of the four 2s I'd like our chances with Villanova the best. They don't have a lot of size.

Especially the 6 seed in the Region we're in. Minnesota, Creighton, Georgia St. That's a good shot a a S16 right there.

I very well can see a committee enhance our resume by demising the Northern Colorado game. I could also see the committee trying to line up KU and Wichita State on the 2, 3 seed lines.

I don't see WSU making it past the S16 round.

Lose only two more games (including BIG12 Tourney) and we slide up to a 4 and they put us with Wichita State at the 1.
