Oh, hey Wisconsin! http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/bracketology

Am I right in thinking that a school cannot play an NCAA tourney game in their own gym? (which could be completely wrong). This is in reference to SDSU being slated in Spokane as a 2 seed while San Diego is a round of 64 and 32 site.

That bracket looked so great at first, and then I realized they have Iowa St. at the 2 seed so I lost any and all hope of it being close to accurate.

If the bracket is made based on where the author thinks a team will finish (and now where they are right now) then I'm fine with it. I don't agree with the projection for ISU, but if they go 14-4 in the league or something then they might be there.

If we ended up playing Wisconsin in that bracket we'd all be ecstatic. (or we should be)

Correct. It's kind of interesting that SDSU is hosting this year since their arena is roughly the size of Bramlage.

Does it have to be their gym or just their city and they are considered the host?

From my experience at first round events (Oklahoma City, Pittsburgh, KC, Omaha, etc.), they're hard as eff to fill anyways. Oklahoma City might have been the only one where I felt like the whole arena was filled (thx to K-State & KU). Kind of irrelevant.

Yeah, I listed that. It was pretty filled for the K-state and KU games, but not so much for the others. Plus, KCis an the exception. It's always been a college bball town. Pitt was an effing ghost town and I could see San Diego being the same. I mean, look at the Chargers attendance. Tourney games are best in a city with interest for the sport.

Okay I was just questioning because you said OKC was the only one that felt filled

Would love to play WSU in an 8/9 vs 1 or 7 vs 2 matchup.

Yes, please.  We would be on a freight train to Dallas w/ Nova, Cuse and MSU.  I'll take it.   :bracketmouse:

if u are gonna be a 8/9 then wich st is the team u want to see as the 1 in your region

I really want to see us get up in that 6/7 seed range.  If we can get to 11-7, we will be there ( and yes Pat a 7 Ksu and 2 Wsu would be sweet)

At 10-8, could be harder to get a 7 and the 8/9 is more likely.

LOL do not want to play Iowa as a #5 seed, not because they are good, but because that would suck for the state.

Sounds like you're scared to play them again.

Anyone else kinda 'meh' about Bracketology before March?  I mean, is it just about talkin' hoops teams with your buds and flexing knowledge about your divers insights into teams across the country?
